The 2nd round of the German West division Nationals was held in Hürtgenwald on an astroturf track and the weather was great all weekend. On Saturday there was open practice for a couple hours and then 3 rounds of controlled practice. JConcepts Driver, Jörn Neumann was in attendance and coming off his first round victory was ready to dominate again in round 2. Jörn tried a few different shock setups and a 3mm front sway bar during practice which he noted that it made is car a lot faster. He stuck with the same setup for the 1st Round of qualifying, finishing 2nd. On Sunday there were two more Rounds of qualifying. In Round 2 Jörn was on a good pace, but had a problem after 2 minutes and had to sit out the rest of the qualifier. The last Round worked really well and Jörn came back with a TQ in that round which was enough for the overall TQ.

Adrian Berntsen dominates Rd1 in Norway

The opening round of the Norwegian 1/10th scale 200mm Nationals took place last weekend and Adrian Bernsten sent us this report. After been doing some testing with my new Capricorn LAB C02 I was ready and looking forward for my first race in Norway for this outdoor season. This first round of the Norwegian national series was held at Geiteryggen racetrack in Skien and saw 19 drivers attending. The track had pretty low traction and was very bumpy so it was important to be fully concentrated on the driving throughout the whole runs. The track conditions were also changing a lot during the day as the temperature rose a bit from the morning.

Serpent rear nylon body support

Serpent have released this new nylon body support for the rear side of their 1/10 scale cars. Its made for 747 / 733, but will also fit the 411, and most other 1/10 EP and GP cars in the market. It prevents the body from folding inside when another car hits you from behind and also keeps the body better positioned and stable on the rear of the car. The set includes enough spacers to create the right length for most commonly used bodies and the height of the carriers is fully adjustable with applied M4x16 grub screw. The Serpent 747 will have mounting holes, but for other cars you will need to drill the holes as needed to mount it to the shock tower.
