Maifield wins Dirt Nitro Challenge

Ryan Maifield took a convincing victory at the 14th running of the world famous Dirt Nitro Challenge, the Associated driver winning the blue ribbon Buggy A-main of the Arizona event comfortably over Top Qualifier Jared Tebo and team-mate Ryan Cavalieri. For outgoing champion Ty Tessmann who last night successfully defended his Truggy title a difficult race following a strong start by the factory HB driver left him 6th at the end of the 45-minute encounter.

PSM B4.2 aluminium rear axle

PSM B4.2 aluminium rear axle

PSM introduce an aluminium rear CVD axle for the Team Associated B4.2 buggy. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium the shafts weight only 2.5g per piece are of a heavy duty design and come including rubber O-rings for a secure fitment of the drive pin. The axles are made in Germany, come in sets of two and are available now.

Tessmann bounces back to defend Truggy at DNC

Defending Dirt Nitro Challenge Champion Ty Tessmann came back from a difficult qualifying at the 14th running of the world famous Arizona event to take victory in Truggy ahead of Kyosho’s Jared Tebo and another driver experiencing a below par qualifying Ryan Maifield, a change of radio transmitters since qualifying bringing both drivers right back into contention. For Top Qualifier Adam Drake a wrong set-up meant he could only manage fourth at the end of the 45-minute encounter.

Fresh from winning the B-Main in nitro Truggy to book himself a spot in the 45 Main, Team Losi Racing’s Billy Fischer bagged the first Pro class win of the 14th running of the world famous Dirt Nitro Challenge taking the victory in the 1:8 eBuggy A-Main from Team Durango’s Ryan Lutz and Kyosho’s Elliot Boots.

Tebo is Top Qualifier at Dirt Nitro Challenge

Jared Tebo is the Top Qualifier for the Dirt Nitro Challenge, the Kyosho driver putting the honour beyond the reach of his rivals with one round to go after he backed up his Q1 run by again topping the time sheets at the famous Arizona event. Have just seen off his team-mate Elliot Boots by less than a second in Q1, birthday boy Tebo posted a much more convincing Q2 taking the round by over 6 seconds from Team Associated’s Ryan Maifield and A-Main Hobbies’ Dylan Rodriguez putting in yet another impressive performance this weekend to complete the Top 3.

Tebo TQs first Buggy qualifier at DNC

2011 Dirt Nitro Challenge Champion Jared Tebo got his 26th birthday off to the perfect start as he headed a Kyosho 1-2 from Elliott Boots in the opening round of qualifying for the 14th running of the world famous Arizona event. Running earlier than Boots in the round Tebo had to watch an impressive run from US debutant Boots, the World Championship Top Qualifier just 8/100ths shy of the TQ at the end of the 7-minute run with the pair the only drivers to record 12 laps. Just missing out on joining them on 12-laps, Team Xray’s Renaud Savoya completed the Top 3.

RB One buggy option parts

Following new clutch bells and different size main gears RB introduce more option parts for the RB One RTR and One R buggy. First up are front and rear anti-roll bar wires in different diameters. The front variants come in 2.0mm, 2.2mm and 2.7mm diameter while the rear ones will come in 2.3mm, 2.7mm and 2.9mm. They are the perfect addition to the kit’s 2.5mm anti-roll bar, help to fine-tune the buggy’s setup and are available separately or as set. Next up is an optional Ackermann plate for the steering assembly. Available as an increased length variant the new link makes for better steering response. Last but not least come optional tapered shock pistons. They are available as 6 hole 1.3mm, 8 hole 1.2mm and 10 hole 1.3mm variant to adjust the damping characteristics to your liking. The machined pistons sport a tapered design to control up and down travel speed.
