Serpent introduce the Avenger body shell for the Cobra S811 nitro buggy. Made from 1.0mm Lexan the body sports a cab forward design, roof fin for added engine protection, increased space for steering and throttle linkages and a separate nose cone. The body is meant to improve steering and jumping characteristics of the buggy and will hit the stores around mid-May.
Pro-Line soon release the 2011 Camaro GS body shell for Traxxas’ 1/16 rally chassis. The body captures all of the racing details found on the GS racing machines, from the super-low front splitter and rear diffuser to the low-profile hood scoop. Made from clear polycarbonate the body comes with protective overspray film and includes decal sheet and window masks.

Pro-Line introduce three new tyres for 1/10th and 1/8th scale off-road vehicles as well as the new lightweight Velocity wheels. The Suburbs 2WD front tyre provides a smooth steering response and features an offset house tyre tread that is ideal for outdoor hard-packed/blue grooved tracks or indoor clay surfaces.

Pro-Line have released more 2012 versions of their popular BullDog line of cab forward off-road bodies. Available soon are variants for Team Associated’s RC8.2e, Kyosho MP9 and Team Associated RC8T. The new design incorporated a steeper windshield to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency. All bodies come clear made from high-quality polycarbonate, include window masks and decal sheet.

It sports a huge front grille, pronounced fenders and PL’s Flo-Tek technology to keep the truck flying low and stuck to the track. It was April weather with both rain and sunshine together that greeted the West German 1/8 nitro on-road racers who kicked-off their season at Hamm last weekend. At the end of the race day it was Thilo-Alexander Toedtmann who braved the elements, the Mugen/RB racer taking his very first victory in class 1 following his triumph winning the 2011 German class 2 Championship.

TLR just announced the new aluminium 4mm trailing spindle for the 22. After testing the development team found that the additional trailing in the spindle provides smoother steering input therefore making the 22 a bit easier to drive. The stock spindles on the TLR has 2mm of axle trail. The parts are made out of high-grade aluminium and come anodised for more durability and added looks. Included are also titanium-nitride king pins.
