Mibosport Cup Rd1 – Announcement

The opening round of the Mibosport Cup takes place next weekend in Hrotovice, Czech Republic. The event which is open to both on road and off road classes on 2 tracks in the one hall, has already attracted over 90 entries including a strong entry from the Xray team with Martin and Juraj confirmed with Martin Bayer set to run the all new Xray EP buggy at the event. One of the stars of last weekend’s ETS Dominic Vogl is also set to compete with the Awesomatix along with top Czech drivers, Michal Bok, Marek Cerny and Radek Flek. Ralf Dennenmoser double at Bawü Cup

With 197 participants during the season the Bawü Cup is one of Germany’s biggest Off-Road racing series. The 6th and final round took place at Großheubach recently which attracted only 80 drivers this time because of the bad weather forecast. Sonic engines driver Ralf “Bombe” Dennenmoser dominated the event TQ’ing both the truggy and the buggy class as well as winning both semi finals and finals. In the truggy class he managed to do 11 minute pit-stops which gave him a big advantage over the other competitors. He won the 20min semi-final by 3 laps and also in the final he was 3 laps in front after 20min. Unfortunately he had a small technical problem but as he was fast enough he crossed the finishing line one lap in front of the second placed driver.

David Spashett dominates BRCA 1/12th opener

Round 1 of the 2012/12 BRCA 1/12th scale nationals took place at Teesside last weekend and for many of the competitors it was like stepping into a time warp. David Spashett made a successful return to 1/12th scale racing last winter and over the summer has been working hard to improve his chassis and driving skills. He arrived at Teesside having recently won the third round of the popular AMC summer shootout series at Chesterfield so was in confident form heading into the event.

TOP Racing update radio bag line-up

TOP Racing have released new additions to their their radio bag line-up which include the new KO EX-1, Sanwa MT4, Futaba 4PL and Sanwa M12. For these new models, they have downsized their overall volume to make them more travel-friendly without sacrificing shock protection.

Team Titan Blitz RS1 1/10 Mini body shell

The new Blitz RS1 1/10 Mini body shell is specially design for 1/10 Mini FWD (2wd) chassis’ with 225mm wheel base. This new body does not require a rear wing because the small rear trunk wing already provides enough down force. The RS1 Body can fit most 1/10 Mini cars on the market like the M03, M05… etc. The standard version is made from 1.0mm thickness Lexan and a light version with 0.8mm also available. Clarke & Broad wins EWS season opener

The 2012-2013 Essex Winter Series kicked off last weekend with a capacity entry. After the success of the series first season, the organisers had made a few tweaks to the rules, which were clearly well received by racers as the first round of the series was booked out nearly a month before the event. The most notable change for the second series of EWS, which has become one of the biggest and most popular in the UK, was to the race day format. Five rounds of qualifying would now feature, and the round-by-round points system would be in use. Single leg finals would then decide the winners of each class.
