Elliot Harper is the new Essex Winter Series Champion, the Schumacher driver taking the title in fashion with TQ & victory at the fifth and final round. Going into the season finale with two wins to his credit, Harper would open the title decider by taking the overall TQ with two TQ runs. …and Tekno’s Ryan Maifield who was chasing his fourth consecutive DNC title having won in 2023, 2022 and 2021. From the front of the 15-car grid, Boots would take control of the 45-minute encounter eventually winning by 10-seconds from the Xray of 2020 Champion David Ronnefalk with TLR’s Dakotah Phend completing the podium. For Sworkz there was double celebrations at the event with Juan Carlo Canas taking the eBuggy win from Rivkin after Top Qualifier Ronnefalk retired. While Maifield’s run of buggy wins came to an end, finishing the final in 10th, the American didn’t leave the DNC empty handed…

Following the release of the 2024 model of the XB8 1:8 Nitro Buggy last week, Xray now presents the electric version of it’s popular platform. Like the nitro version, the XB8E gets an all-new shorter chassis with specially milled flex areas significantly improving traction on all surfaces. Xray has released two optional Aluminium Front Lower Arm Mounts for its XB2 1:10 Buggy. CNC-machined from high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, the 0° front lower arm mount makes the car more stable and increases on-power steering. The mount has an integrated 0° kick-up angle and optional weight can be added to increase the weight of arm holder. The +3°/-3 allows the kick-up to be increased or decreased. Xray has released a new ultra-lightweight body shell for its XB2 1:10 2WD Offroad Buggy, the Delta 2D Light. The Delta Dirt version of the new XB2 body is designed for higher traction conditions with a profile that improves the stability and corner speed without rolling too much. The ultra-lightweight version of the Delta body is produced from thinner Lexan material for reduced weight which helps to improve stability in fast corners, chicanes and helps with rotation in tight corners. Sam Isaacs is the 2024 ROAR Onroad Carpet National Champion in Modified Touring Car, the Awesomatix driver taking the title from last year’s Champion Keven Hebert. Hosted by 997 RC Raceway in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, qualifying say Isaacs secure an early TQ as he topped the opening three of the four qualifiers. Going fastest in Q4 with his Xray, Hebert would secure 2nd on the grid for the triple A-Main ahead of last year’s Vice-Champion Chris Adams. Team Associated’s Marcus Kaerup and Xray’s Bruno Coelho took the wins at this year’s BRCA British Offroad Grand Prix in Milton Keynes. The annual 1:10 carpet track event which takes place in the Centre:MK shopping centre and attracts a strong international field saw last year’s double winner Michal Orlowski head the entry. The Schumacher driver would get his weekend off to a good start securing the 2WD TQ. Behind European Champion Kaerup secured second with Coelho completing the Top 3 after the 5 rounds of qualifying. Xray has released its latest 1:8 Nitro Buggy with the 2024 iteration of its popular XB8 platform. The Slovakian manufacturer introduced the first XB8 in 2004, and two decades later the main new feature of the buggy is an all-new shorter chassis with specially milled flex areas significantly improves traction on all surfaces. The chassis is an important component that affects the XB8’s handling characteristics. The chassis’ dimensions and flex characteristics are selected for the best blend of stability, traction, and steering.
