With Day 1 of qualifying at the 20th edition of the TITC complete it is Bruno Coelho who holds the overnight TQ in Bangkok. Bruno Coelho has kicked off the defence of his TITC title in the best way possible by TQ’ing the opening round of qualifying at the iconic Bangkok race. Second behind Ronald Volker in the single seeding round yesterday evening, the Xray driver reversed the order in the first of the four qualifiers by topping the round by 7/10th over the Mugen driver. …heat due to his B-Final appearance at last year’s event, Volker took two goes at setting a time. It was his second 3-consecutive laps that counted with him fastest by 16/100th of a second over Coelho, the Xray driver making just one attempt to post a time. One of the few drivers to run the entire 5-minutes along with team-mate Akio Sobue, Axon’s Hayato Ishioka set the third fastest time with 2-time TITC winner Sobue ending up 7th. New from Xray for its X4 Electric Touring Car is their UAM (Under arm mounting) front and rear anti-roll bars designed to work with the lower suspension arms. Mounted under suspension arms for ultra-low CG, the anti-roll bar system is mounted to the bulkheads via bearings from outside for extra-smooth movement and for quick & easy changes and adjustment. The roll bar turns in ball-bearings for maximum precision and free movement and the height is adjustable via a screw making adjustments quick & easy. Xray has released an Aluminium Front Roll-Center Holder for use with its Bridge Upper Deck on its XB2 1:10 2WD Buggy. Also fitting the XT2 Stadium Truck, it increases strength, reliability and makes the handling more precise and more forgiving. The super-strong aluminium holder features two-roll centre positions and is CNC-machined from high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium. Schumacher’s Jessica Pålsson and Xray’s David Ronnefalk took the spoils at the annual Euro Buggy Masters in Sweden, this year’s event also doubling up as the Warm-up Race for the EFRA 1:10 Offroad European Championships. In 2WD it was the Xray of Hampus Berg who took the TQ after taking two of the five qualifiers. Behind the Swede it was Pålsson fastest in Q2 who would start second ahead of Sworkz’ Joern Nuemann, Ronnefalk and the Associated of reigning European Champion Marcus Kaerup. Xray has released a new Adjustable Camber Titanium 14mm M4 L/R screw for their X4 and X4F touring car. Also compatible with their X1’23-24, the ultra lightweight screw is specially made from high grade titanium material and threaded on both ends to connect the upper CFF arm with the outer ball cup. Serpent has announced that 1:8 GT World Championship finalist Natanaele Senesi has joined its factory team. The Italian led the charge for Xray at the World Championships in October in Sydney TQ’ing a round of qualifying before going on to finish 4th in the 1-hour final. In December however he announced his departure from the Slovakian manufacturer after just one year. A 1:8 GT specialist, the Serpent deal will also see Senesi venture into 1:8 Nitro Onroad.
