Rino Lino & Patricio Concha win Pacific Cup 2012

The Pacific Cup is a race, in Lima Peru, that has been going on for the last few years and continues to grow each year. This year over 70 racers from all over the World to include the USA, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Germany and of course Peru attended the event. The race is held on a permanent track next to the Ocean was even broadcasted in the local media and therefore attracted over 2,000 spectators. Because of the good experience made at the recent races the organisers also plan on applying for the 2014 200mm sedan World Championships.

FTW DEX210 carbon rear shock tower

FTW Racing Components announce the release of a carbon fibre rear shock tower for Team Durango’s DEX210 buggy. Eliminating the flex of the OEM piece and being exponentially stronger the new part also improves the airflow to the wing due to the lower centre section. All factory mounting locations and adjustments are retained and the wing mount holes are countersunk for a sleeker look.

Tresrey DEX210 & 410 option parts

Tresrey introduce new option parts for Team Durango’s DEX210 and 410 line of off-road vehicles. First up is a layshaft and slipper hub set for the 210 that allows the use of standard spur gears such as the ones from Team Associated, Tamiya, and generally every spurgear with a 4.8mm centre hole. The part allows for a wider gearing range compared to the stock TD spurgears.

Alpe Adria Cup 2012 – Announcement

The organisers of the 2012 Alpe Adria Cup have been in touch to announce their new series. Taking place between April and October, the 4 round series sees races in Slovenia, Croatia, Austria and Italy and features the motto ‘fun, fair racing and friendship’. The series will use a handout tire for both classes giving the same conditions for everyone and helping prevent the use of tire additives. The tires will only be allowed to be put on in parc ferme and there are a limited number of tires for each driver during the event to keep costs down. Pulse-RC DEX210 buggy body

The Pulse-RC body for Team Durango’s DEX210 2WD buggy is designed with performance and looks in mind. Offering a one-piece design the body is usable for rear and mid motor configurations alike as well as 3 gear and 4 gear usage. Redesigned side pods with air intakes make for improved airflow around the electronics and channel the air towards the motor to allow for best possible cooling even in hot weather conditions. The raised sides also make for more room for the electronics and additional fans if needed. The body is made from high-quality Polycarbonate, comes including a straight design rear wing and sports cutting lines for all motor configurations helping you to perfectly fit the body to the chassis.

Serpent S811 Cobra-T aluminium options

More new products from Serpent with the release of these aluminium options for the S811 Cobra-T truggy. Machined from 7075 T6 aluminium the rear uprights have been anodised titan grey and offer less flex and improved durability. They fit both the current sized ball bearings as well as the larger ones in future thanks to the supplied delrin inserts. There are also new wheel hexes in +1 and +2mm offset.

Kyosho Germany have announced the addition of a new category to their Kyosho World Cup brand trophy. Valid for races within their sales territory this class will bring the races back to the parking lots. Using Kyosho’s own DRX nitro rally car the class combines the side-by-side on-road racing with the challenging and fun to drive obstacles of off-road racing. JConcepts 1/10 Hybirds, Inserts & Striker board

New from JConcepts, the Hybirds for 1/10th features a mid-lug design with unique inner Crowbar center lug DNA. The Hybrid is built for speed on medium to high traction conditions and the ultimate high-speed control, handling, durability and corner speed. Supported lug control and X-braced sidewall lug detail is designed to go the distance in long qualifiers, final main events and beyond. Available in Soft (Blue) and Super Soft (Green) compounds. There are also new medium profiled 1/10th buggy rear inserts which are a more durable insert in a softer density. Having an insert with proper density for track conditions pays dividends to the racer and especially toward the end of races. Finally there is the 1/10th, 1/8th and SCT Striker setup board w/ foam pad. Having a portable, convenient and flat working surface allows a driver to make necessary pit adjustments with speed, consistency and accuracy. The bottom can be outfitted with the included foam pad which adds depth, work space and a flexible footing for irregular surfaces.
