Jared Tebo and Kyosho

Jared Tebo

With all the new signings and news of contracts around the new year, World’s top qualifier Jared Tebo got in touch to let us about his different sponsors beginning with Kyosho with whom he is beginning the 3rd year of a 5 year contract.

My first two years back driving for Team Kyosho have been great. We are always building our relationship and learning more as a team. I have been working harder than in the past to better my communication on what I need in the equipment. Also on the testing and practicing side. I know what I can do and we, driver and car designer, are going to be working very hard in 2011. I had an amazing year in 2010 and plan on working harder and having another great year in 2011. Kyosho will also be doing all they can on building the best cars for our team and customers. 2010 was amazing for both myself and Team Kyosho. We did what most would thought could not happen; ROAR National Champion, and IFMAR TQ and World Champion. I would like to thank Team Kyosho Japan, Team Kyosho America, and Joe Pillars for this great opportunity and look forward to many more great years and continuing our great relationship. I will be running Kyosho cars in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 1/8 Nitro Truggy, 1/8 Electric Buggy, 1/10 Modified 2wd, 1/10 Modified 4wd, and 1/10 Modified 2wd SC. Thank you all very much for the support.

We will have more Jared Tebo news over the coming days.

Moto Arena Winter GP wins for Jefferies & Smith

Moto Arena Winter GP wins for Jefferies & Smith

A last minute rush of entries saw a full entry of 90 drivers brave the winter conditions for Moto Arena’s winter GP, the event was held in the week between Christmas and New Year and gave a few drivers the opportunity to try out their seasonal gifts. The Moto Arena venue, situated within the Silverstone Circuit complex is unique in the UK as it’s an indoor venue but with a tarmac racing surface. The event proved a big success for Team Associated with Olly Jefferies dominating the Super Touring class taking TQ and the A final win, Zak Smith won the 10.5 Pro Stock, Zak’s team mate Chris Slater took TQ with his TC6 but a good result for Chris was spoilt after an incident lapping a back marker caused a DNF in leg one of the A final. In the 17.5 stock class it was a convincing victory in the A final for Schumacher driver Scott Hauser, who also took TQ. 13.5 stock racing is a class growing in numbers in the UK and at Moto Arena the victory in this class went to Malcolm Hall.

More testing videos from the Durango DESC410R, this time Austrian Hupo Honigl running the car at his track in Vienna. In it you can see how well the car appears to take jumps and the amount of traction it has, with the triple and its short run up being a good example.
