MR33, brand of 3-time World Champion Marc Rheinard, have introduced some new items to the growing line of products. Firstly is the line of gear diff oil which comes in 4 different types, A, B, C & D. This temperature resistant and long lasting oil comes in 50ml bottles. Also new is a multi-gauge for measuring ride-height and downstop settings. Made from black anodised aluminium, the measurements are printed onto the surface with the ride height ranging from 2.5mm to 6.0mm in 0.25mm increments, while the droop can be measured from 4.0mm to 7.0mm. Last weekend the outdoor season kicked off at MCC-Silixen in northern Germany with the first round of qualifiers for the German Nationals in 2011. Timo Engelstätter was in great shape and TQ’d the event with his Team Orion powered MP9 TKI2 buggy. In the final, he continued his top form by taking the overall win with almost one full lap ahead of 2nd placed Abdullah Kilic, with Andreas Bartels taking 3rd spot.

Similar to that from Moorespeed, Much More have released their fireproof safety bag for safe charging of LiPo cells. Made from fireproof material, its double wrap construction will also prevent any damage from an explosion. The bag also doubles up as battery storage for transporting and it has been designed to use with the Much More battery warming tray II, which fits neatly into the bottom of the bag.

Speedzone have announced that multiple US Nationals Champion Mike Dumas, will use Speedzone LiPo Packs to power his touring and 1/12 cars. Speedzone is very excited to have a driver with the caliber of Mike Dumas join the team. Having come back from a two year hiatus from r/c racing to start his own restaurant, Mike won an extremely exciting and close 1/12 13.5 A-Main at the Snowbirds earlier in the season and had this to say “The batteries perform as good as any other batteries I have ever run.”

Losi’s Mike Truhe, Frank Root and Cody Turner attended the 3rd Annual JConcepts Spring Indoor Nationals hosted by OCRC Raceway this past weekend. The track layout was fast and fun setting up for an awesome weekend of racing. In the Pro2 (Mod SC) class Mike and Frank would battle it out for TQ throughout the 3 rounds of qualifying. When it was all said and done, Frank had taken the TQ over teammate Mike Truhe by a narrow margin, with Cody Turner 4th on the grid. The format called for a 10 minute Single A-Main and everyone expected a dog fight between the Losi pilots, and the main did not disappoint. The entire field got off to a clean start and started to freight train around the very quick track. Frank made a bobble and allowed Mike into the lead, while Cody had moved up to 3rd. Throughout the race, Mike and Frank would closely battle, even side by side at times while pulling away from the pack. In the end, Mike held off the charge and took the victory after 10 hard fought minutes, with Frank in 2nd and Cody in 3rd.

The Venezuelan National Championships for 1:8 nitro buggy took place the weekend of earlier this month at the La Lagunita Circuit in Caracas, Venezuela. Reedy/AE factory driver Renato Tradardi Jr. won the title in both 2009 and 2010, but wanted to keep the streak alive. A one-hour final is all that stood between Renato Jr. and another national title. Thanks to some great driving, Renato brought his Reedy 121 VR-ST powered Team Associated RC8B, passed the finish line first to pulled off the hat trick.
