Aird & Robertson win Orion On-road Cup Rd4

Team Associated were on top form again at Moto Arena in Silverstone, where the Milton Keynes Club were the hosts for the latest round of the Orion On-road Cup. With a full meeting of 14 heats to get through, it meant four rounds of qualifying and one final for all. In the hotly contested modified field recent TC6 convert Johnny Aird continued his good form to claim second on the grid whilst in the 10.5t class Keith Robertson took third on the grid at his first meeting with the new TC6, using Novak Kinetic/Ballistic power. In the mod final Johnny took an early lead and never looked back to take a fine win. The 10.5t final was a great race with some really close racing. With the five minutes up, Keith put the power of the new Reedy 60C Lipo battery to good effect and took the win to make another double victory for the Associated touring team.

Dennis Fadtke signs for Thunder Tiger Europe

Thunder Tiger Europe have signed Polish National Champion Dennis Fadtke to race their line of Associated electric cars. The German driver, who raced a Tamiya in the past will run the TC6 touring car internationally as well as running the B4.1, B44.1 and RC12RS at selected events. Dennis is looking forward to working together with TTE and wanted to give special thanks to Niko Triandafilidis for his great support in previous years.

CRCRC SCT Shootout report

Last Saturday was the first CRCRC SCT Shootout and included a kids 12 and under class, sportsman 2wd SCT (17.5 motor or standard RTR brushed motor), 2wd Open, and 4×4 Open SCT classes. The race had 89 SCT entries including four heats of 2wd Open SCT, three heats of 4×4 SCT, three heats of sportsman 2wd SCT, and two heats of kids 12 and under. The format was 3 qualifying rounds (rocket round) with 10 minute A-mains and a single bump up from each of the lower mains. The track was laid down fresh a week before the race so traction was fairly high.

Yeah Racing electric motor heatsinks

New from Yeah Racing is their line of ultra lightweight 540 type electric motor heatsinks with cooling fans. The first is their high air flow twin fan heat sink with twin Tornado high speed fans. A second 2 fan setup is their super light twin fan heat sink with dual cooling fans. Two other similar heatsinks have been configured with single cooling fans with Type A placing the fan directly over the body of the motor, while Type B has the fan offset to cool the end of the motor. All are available in anodised black or blue.
