Mugen MBX6E M-Spec Electric buggy

Mugen Seiki Racing have introduced the new 1/8 scale MBX6E M-Spec factory built Electric buggy. The MBX6E is based off their championship winning MBX6 buggy platform but sold in their M-Spec version which is built to Mugen’s specifications. All the differential and shock oils, shock springs, ride height, camber and caster adjustments are straight from the Mugen race team. The world of 1/8 Electric buggy racing just got much easier with the MBX6E M-Spec. Expect a January 2011 release date.

CRC Blitz aluminium bellcrank steering arm

CRC have introduced this new steering arm for the Blitz, which adds a ton of strength, more precise steering control and is pretty sweet looking to boot. The aluminium construction adds a ton of strength and rigidity without adding too much weight. Many Blitz drivers have complained that even after they invest in a quality steering servo, they still didn’t have the feel that they were looking for. This is mostly because of the flex and deflection of the stock plastic pieces. This piece eliminates this weak link in the chain.

Silver Pennes 2011 – Announcement

The organisers of the Silver Pennes 2011 have gotten in contact to tell us about their annual event which will this year take place from the 11th to 13th of March next year. This big international off road event, which is held at ‘Les Pennes Mirabeau’ in the south of France, close to Marseille, is expect to attract many big names including last year’s winners Jérôme Aigoin and Yannick Aigoin to name but a few. The race is open to gas buggy and truggy classes and registration will open on the 20th of December.

Huge R/C Products is the new brand from 2002 IFMAR ISTC World Champion, Surikarn Chaidajsuriya. He has released the first product, a 6000mAh 65C Huge power, Pro series LiPo battery pack. This pack aimed at the competition market and is better suited to stock classes due to its increased power output. Features a hard case for crash protection and comes supplied with 4mm bullet connectors.

dBoots Terrabyte 1/10th scale off road tires

RC Disco in the UK have announced the dBoots tire range which has been developed over the last 6 months and the first tire, the Terrabyte, is now available. Produced for 2wd & 4wd 1/10th off road, more designs are expected to be available in the coming months for 1/10th scale, Short Course and 8th scale, and we hope to also bring you those releases as we get them. Already the control tire for the Ardent Raceway off road winter series, it has proven itself to work well and is already finding strong support in Multi-Surface conditions, Astroturf and Grass Tracks across the country.

Petter Berntsen dominates Rd3 of Norwegian Winterseries

The 3rd round of the Norwegian National Winterseries in 2010 was held at BMRK’s track in Moss, 40 min south of Oslo, a medium size track with high grip. In Touring Modified Petter Berntsen dominated this race through the qualification having just after switched cars earlier in the week. Tom Erik Haaversen ended up in 2nd followed by Oyvind Stusdal in 3rd. In 1/12 scale it was Helge Johannessen who was the man of the day, totally dominating this class and leaving the rest of the field in his dust. 2nd place went to Lars Haugen followed by Georg “gogg” Ellingsen. In SuperStock the fastest man was again Bjorn-Ivar Haug who tok TQ spot in front of Lars A Andersen and Trygve B Freng.

McPappy Racing Dart 2.5 oval chassis

McPappy Racing have introduced the Dart 2.5 and have released a Dart 2.5 Standard Kit and a Dart 2.5 Team Kit. This newest version was designed to stay flatter and turn harder and it has an offset and super offset T-plate position. Shorter wheelbase and lightened pod plates, the left side of the chassis was moved out .100″ to increase the left weight percentage and also taking advantage of the newest Protoform D-HD nationwide body. The LiPo strap brace was moved to the rear of the battery allowing the battery to move toward the LF wheel. This increased front weight percentage. They also added new rubber o-rings designed to work with the carbon fiber flex braces which eliminates all tweaking and finally new standoffs flatten the angle of the side shocks which in testing, has all proven to be better.

Edam Spirit FR anti-roll bar mount

New from Edam is this orange anodized 7075 T6 aluminum front anti-roll bar mount for the Spirit chassis. These new parts allow you to independently adjust the anti-roll bar from the downstop, so that the downstop setting doesn’t influence the performance of the anti-roll bar and vice versa.
