New for the Mugen MRX-5 1/8th scale chassis, Arrowmax have released these front CVD wheel axles. Available in three different types of material, you can get them in 7075 aluminium, spring steel and titanium for a choice of lightweight, durable and a combination of both.

Last weekend the 3rd and final round of the Argentinean Touring car nationals took place in Rosario. The race was won by Capricorn/Sirio driver Sebastián Recio followed by Agustín Cutini, driving a Novarossi powered Serpent in 2nd, with Juan Pablo Golovic with his Reds Racing powered Xray car in 3rd. This result was enough to give Golovic the Argentinean National title for 2010.

Taking place at Ardent Raceway there are limited spaces in the 3 different classes, 4wd, 2wd and Short Course so if you want to race, make sure you enter as soon as possible. The 2010 ROAR Region 8 Championships were held this past weekend at SmacTrack in St Charles, MO, near St. Louis, and X Factory’s Justin Driemeier TQ’d modified buggy, truck and short course. Driemeier went on to win the first two A mains in both buggy, with his X-6 Squared, and truck with his X-60, finishing third in SC with an SCX-60. Region 8 includes Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska, so there were lots of top sponsored drivers there. Joe Buckley was in the A in mod truck (X-60) and SC (SCX-60) and took 4th in the mod buggy B (X-6 Sq). Also, X-Teamer Lendel Smith from Arkansas drove his X-6 Sq to fourth in stock buggy and his X -60 to third in stock truck. Smith also took second in stock SC driving his SCX-60.

TQ Racing sent us these teaser shots of their all new SX8 Evo E, the first of a new line of 1/8th scale buggies. This completely new platform isn’t finalized yet but we expect to get the full release details in a few weeks when it is expected to be ready.
Following on from the release of their A3 and B1 chargers, Speed Power have released the latest additions to the Esprit line, the A6 and A8 Pro. The A8 Pro balance charger and discharger is another DC powered unit wit a maximum charge power of 80W, 10W for discharge. The current ranges are from 0.1 to 6.0A for charging and 0.1 to 2.0A for discharging and it can handle up to 15 NiMh cells and 6 lithium cells. The A6, also a DC charger and discharger, has a max charge power of 50W and a discharge power of 5W, while the charge current is from 0.1 o 5.0A and 0.1 to 1.0A for discharge. Both chargers feature a 2 line LCD display and an easy to navigate functions menu.
In collaboration with World Champion Atsushi Hara, Hot Bodies have released the D8 Hara Edition 1/8th scale 4WD buggy kit. Loaded with tons of race grade hop-ups, there is a new lightweight 3mm chassis, lightweight drive train and pivot balls and new 5mm front shock tower. Also included are the optional front aluminium spindles, threaded outer hinge pins, new rear aluminium hub with horizontal captured pivot ball and new high mount shock tower with 112mm shocks and 68mm yellow springs, which is Hara’s default setup
