Xceed RC 1/10th XS clutch system

Xceed RC have released the XS clutch for 1/10 gas on road cars. Extra small and light, this high performance, centrifugal clutch system fits all popular 1/10 scale gas on road cars and comprises of high quality aluminium and steel parts, superb quality yellow shoe material and flyweights. Supplied with a hard spring and top quality bearings, there are also suitable clutch bells available for Mugen, Xray, Serpent and later on Kyosho cars. These lightened bells are made from durable steel which has been precision machined for a solid bearing fit and which accept the standard gear pinions from the various brands.

Factory Team Titanium nitride coated ball studs

Team Associated have introduced a range of titanium nitride coated ball studs to its Factory Team line of high performance accessories. Used primarily on shock shafts, titanium nitride coating reduces friction while increasing durability. When used on ball studs, suspension components move more freely which in both on-road and off-road applications means more consistent handling and reduced maintenance. Packaged in pairs in metric and standard sizes with long or short necks for use on Team Associated on-road and off-road vehicles.

Rheinard tops opening day of 2010 DHI Cup

Having struggled in early practice, defending DHI Cup Champion Marc Rheinard put himself back in the driving seat by setting the fastest run in the final practice session here today in Odense, Denmark. The World Champion said his Speed Passion powered Tamiya TRF416X was much better than earlier, all thanks to a simple change of tyre additive. Originally drivers were scheduled to have just four rounds of practice today followed by the first round of qualifying, but race organisers decided that due to the reseed that competitors should be given a chance to practice in their new heat order and the qualifier, run exactly like a heat, was declared a practice run.

Durango DNX408 – First production parts

Eager to obtain the services of Austrian driver Hupo Honigl, Durango have released the first images of the production parts from their new 1/8th scale buggy, the DNX408. We have yet to see the final design of the car but judging by the photos of the first parts to come of the (pre)production line that are destined for this new car, it would be safe to assume that this will be a high quality buggy just like its little brother the DEX410.

Xceed RC TorQ off road clutch

Xceed RC have released this lightweight, super TorQ 3-shoe clutch for 1/8 offroad use. Superbly finished light flywheel, the photo supplied shows one optional carbon clutch shoe together with two aluminium shoes, the set is supplied with 3 aluminium shoes only. Coming with 2 types of springs in medium and hard, they can be used to adjust the engagement depending on which shoe or mix of shoes you have selected.

Leino fastest for Xray at DHI Cup

After three rounds of free practice for the 2010 DHI Cup it is Team Xray’s Teemu Leino who is at the top of the time sheets here in Odense with his Orion powered T3 recording a best lap time of 16.559. The former European Champion says he has done little with the set-up on his car and is just waiting for the traction levels to come up on the brand new carpet. Asked about the track design for the 10th Anniversary of the famous Danish race, the Finn said that it was very tight compared with last year but it was the same for everyone.

Serpent S811 Cobra first photos

Following on from the previous CAD images of the new Serpent buggy, the Dutch company have release actual photos of the new car, along with announcing its official name, the S811 Cobra. In the 3rd part of the interview with chief car designer Billy Easton, the former World Champion runs us through the cars main features and thoughts behind each.
