Team Titan have released their all new Blitz short course body, the SC1. Designed for use with 1/10 electric powered SC trucks such as the Associated SC10, this new shell has been made with high quality 1.0mm thick clear polycarbonate. Supplied with high quality decals and window mask, the shell is 192mm wide, 158mm high and 530mm long and can fit other 1/10th SC trucks with some trimming.

Very much a day for drivers to get settled in and get used to the rather high temperatures, Day 1 of the 2010 EFRA 1:8 Off Road European Championship here in Guarda, Portugal has come to a close. The capacity entry had just 25 minutes of track time with a 10-minute run in the morning followed by a longer 15 minute practice in afternoon. No official timing meant it was hard to gauge who was doing what but speaking to those expected to feature on the time sheets the majority said the day was just a chance to get into their groove for what lies ahead.

Jammin have announced that their eagerly awaited SCRT-10 RTR trucks will be hitting the store shelves in late July. Both the Electric version and the Gas version will come be pre assembled complete with radio equipment installed ready to run.

The second race of the Novarossi Challenge was held this past weekend at Controlfreakz Raceway in Chaplin, Connecticut. 3 days of sunny and warm weather saw seven heats of racing action in the 200mm and 1/8 Open classes. In 200mm Sedan it was Dj Apolaro taking the TQ and win in the 45 minute final with his Serpent 733 with Contact Tyres, Novarossi power and Xtreme Fuel. Ken Ives Jr finished in second position with George K taking the final podium position after bumping into the A final from the B. 1/8 Open saw Joaquin de Soto Jr and his Serpent 966 with Jp-Gimar power defend his TQ from last years Novarossi Challenge. However he was unable to best his prior track record. In the final it was Chris Tosolini’s Serpent 966 with Jp-Gimar power and Zac project tires taking the victory after 45 minutes followed by Richie Siriano in second and Andrew Nicholas finishing off the podium after bumping up into the A final from the B.

First free practice for the 2010 EFRA 1:8 Off Road European Championship has gotten underway just outside Guarda in Portugal marking the 30th running of the championships which were first held in Switzerland back in 1981. He wasn’t even born when that first race took place but defending Champion Renaud Savoya will be looking to make history here in Guarda as he tries to become the first ever driver to win three titles back to back. Fellow Mugen driver Daniel Reckward has won the title three times but only two were in succession.

Round 3 of the Portuguese EP TC Championships was run in Torres Novas last weekend with 29 drivers attending the meeting. In the Modified class, it was Francisco Henriques (above) got the top spot at the end of the finals, but it was a very close race with the winner decided at the last corner of the last A final. Hugo Miguel took 2nd and Nuno Gancho was 3rd. In the Stock Class, it was Bernardo Cosme that emerged the winner followed by Ricardo Gama and Bruno Castela.
