Kyosho America have announced the opening of Route 241 Raceway inside their headquarters in Lake Forest, California. R241 was conceived and built as a means to provide the best facility for their extensive Mini-Z and dNaNo RC racing vehicles. Starting from May 1st they will be opening the doors to the public every Saturday and Sunday sans Holidays.
Also new from JConcepts is their medium Racing Bag, a compact, multi-purpose equipment bag that can be used for about any of your R/C needs. Shown next to the small JConcepts bag above, its design and proportions allow you to store and transfer just about any combination of compact R/C equipment you desire. With a total of 3 composite drawers, there is enough room for a 1/10 scale buggy or touring car as well as room for radio gear, tools, tires, or various other R/C gear. New from JConcepts, Flip Outs give drivers that tire in-between the Goose Bumps and Double Dees they have asked for. A very small pin construction makes up the foundation for the Flip Outs design and gives the grip when racers need it most, when the conditions are wet and green in the morning, traction is sometimes hard to come-by. Alternating center bar support provides the base for the forward traction while the small accommodating tapered pins provide the dig and flex under hard acceleration and cornering. Having shown the prototype Punisher shell for the Associated RC8B a while ago, it has been finalised and is now available. The slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving the Punisher top notch performance, while a blended wing / body design gives additional down-force to the side-pods and windshield which increases drivability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/8th buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased engine cooling, air flow and escape.

New from Orcan for the Xray NT1 and NT1R is this handy fuel level indicator decal. Simply apply it to the specified place on the radio plate next to the tank and when you lift your car, with the nose to the ground, you can now easily identify the remaining amount of fuel. The decal displays the measurement in 5ml increments and is available in orange and white or black and white.

After a long winter the Dutch Nationals got underway last weekend at the famous AMCA track in Apeldoorn. The biggest group of competitors was found in the 13.5T stock class. There was also a group of ProTen-drivers who revamped their championship in 2010. It was soon clear the first round of qualifiers would be the quickest. Due to the warming track the later runs would be almost a second a lap slower. Victim of the early pace was Benny van Oers, winner of last years final, who had to start from pole in the B-final.
