Novarossi have made a small change to their 353 Race .12/C engine, which now includes a hand-tuned lightweight crankshaft plus various laser engravings on the cooling head and crankshaft. This engine will now be sold as the 353 Race .12/C Tuned engine and will retail for around €365.

New from Roche for the Yokomo BD5, is this carbon steering brace. Made from 2.5mm carbon graphite, the steering Brace will give the front end a little more flex than the standard alloy steering brace and this will add a little bit more steering to the car. For all touring cars there is these new carbon wing holder plates. Designed to be used on wing installations for every touring car, it will provide additional support to the wing mount to maintain the structure of the wing in the event of a crash. Both will be available in May.

Pro-line are reporting on last weekend’s 6th round of the Florida State Off-Road Nitro Series were they took the win in both pro classes. In 1:8th buggy, team drivers Billy Easton and Leon McIntosh had great showings in the highly contested Pro A-main. It was all Billy Easton dominating the race and taking the win with the Serpent S811 with a lap on the field using M2 Calibers with closed cell foam. Leon had a great battle for 2nd with Jason Rouna for the entire 30 minute main. In the end though, Jason took the runner up spot, while Leon crossed the line in 3rd opting to use the softer M3 Caliber tires with blue closed cell foam.

The Ballistic 550s are so powerful because of their extra long stator and rotor magnet. In fact, the stator and rotor magnet are twice the length of 540-sized motors, giving them twice the torque. Additionally, these larger-sized motors run cooler and more efficiently than their 540 counterparts. Bearing company ABEC35 were in touch to tell us of two new signings to their team, Francesco Tironi and Takaaki Shimo. The Italian Mugen driver will use the company’s high quality bearings in both this MRX-4 and MTX-4R, while current Japanese National Champion, Shimo, will run the bearings in his Kyosho Evolva M3 and V-One chassis’. Both drivers join a strong team that includes double World Champion Atsushi Hara and young Italian front runner Andrea Pirani.
