Champion Genes – Hot Bodies D8T

Champion Genes - Hot Bodies D8T

1/8 scale nitro off-road truggies are still a growing class, although the release of new kits has declined a bit during the last 12 month, nearly all of the important manufacturers have released at least one truck the last couple of years. Hot Bodies’ new D8T is the latest 1/8 scale nitro truggy on the block and heavily borrows from the HB D8 buggy that Atsushi Hara drove to victory at the 2008 nitro buggy World Championships in North Carolina/USA. Most of the changes or updates take place chassis side, in combination with longer wishbones plus some other refinements, to make sure the D8T not only matches but aims to exceed the performance of the current breed of nitro competition truggies.

Pro-Line Caliber pre-mounted

Pro-Line releases the all-new Caliber pre-mounted on Velocity V2 wheels. The new larger diameter and larger width wheels give your car the maximum traction and stability, while the Caliber’s step-pin technology collides with small pin technology to bring you a tire tread that is versatile and long-lasting. The small top pin is good for light to heavy loose dirt, while the base pin works great on hard-packed/blue-groove surfaces. Available in M2 and M3 compounds on either white or yellow wheels.

CRC Gen-X top plate & Truer adapter

CRC Gen-X top plate & Truer adapter

CRC have released some new items starting with this top plate for the Gen-X 12 and 10. Made from 4mm carbon fibre, this optional top plate is super rugged and is more resistant to breaking than the standard version, something that is necessary thanks to super hot motors. Supplied with 3 longer screws for mounting to the motor plate and the centre standoff. CRC have also introduced their True-all tire truer adapter, suitable for 12th, 10th, & TC. Fitting most automatic tire truers from manufacturers like Hudy, Integy, Ofna, GQ, and more, it features a steel threaded stud that will last much longer than some of the competition’s aluminium threads and the threads are even replaceable. Finally the company has released ceramic engine and clutch bearings, which they claim are far superior to the regular steel pieces that come with the engine. More RPM capability than the steel counterparts and the ceramic balls reduce rotating mass and friction.
