Team Associated have unveiled the RTR version of their 1/10th scale ready-to-run electric truck, the SC10. Based on the 6-time ROAR Nationals-winning RC10T4, the engineers behind the doors in Area 51 made the SC10 both all show and all go. It comes ready-to-run with a factory finished short course race-truck body, short course style wheels and aggressive tread multi-terrain tires, all which have been designed to look just like the full-size race trucks that run in short course off-road series around the country. The world of high-performance 1:10 scale electric R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy.

Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF gets Blue Star treatment

Speed Passion have released the Blue Star version of their GT2.0 LPF speed controller which was released at the beginning of the year. Using the same casing and chrome blue colour as the GT2.0 Pro ESC that was released a few days, the speedo itself remains the same otherwise as the version released in January. It features the ‘Green Power’ feature to give you consistent power and longer run time and its digital racing response system offers the user 9 selectable digital racing modes. Other features include the advanced multi timing system which is a special 8 mode BL motor timing adjustment system to help obtain best performance for both ESC and motor. Suitable for up to a 4.0T motor with 5 cells, the GT2.0 LPF is supplied with programming box, cooling fan, battery & motor wires, switch, small form capacitor and short & long receiver cables.

International Touring Car Race Luxembourg

International Touring Car Race Luxembourg

The RCCM in Luxembourg have announced that they will run an international touring car race prior to the 2009 European Championships for electric touring cars which will be hosted by the LMCC on the same track in July. The race will be held from the 12th to the 14th of June and is open to modified touring car as well as other support classes. The track, with its world famous Laguna Seca style chicane in which the track drops in elevation, offers the driver plenty more challenges throughout its 310 meters length. Entries for this event are now open. Please note that this is not the official warm up race for the 2009 Euros on the same track, that event will be held 2 weeks later.

H.A.R.D. Racing 1/8th On Road Setup system

H.A.R.D. Racing have once more expanded their current line of setup tools to include a 1/8th scale on road setup system. Precision machined from aluminium plate, and hard coated, this system is similar to previous versions from the company which has the side plate attached to the main plate by the lower side knob. On conventional systems where the 2 plates connect at the top point, sometimes the main plate cannot move freely and it may cause some accuracy problems. Sold in a set of 4, for each corner, they are supplied in a handy carry case and can be assembled and disassembled with ease.

Leehove JVD-RC clutch system

Dutch company Leehove has announced a new clutch assembly they have developed for 1/8th nitro off road and rally-game cars, the JVD-RC clutch. After 6 months of development and testing by a team including Dutch Truggy Champion Bas the Koninck, the final clutch is suitable for any clutch bell with an inside diameter between 26mm and 26.8 mm and a minimum internal length of 10mm. Delivered as a complete system which consist of a flywheel, crown, four clutch shoes, 12 springs in different tensions (green 0.9mm, 1.0mm gold, silver 1.1mm in sets of 4), the cone, a special flywheel nut and a set spacers to shim the flywheel. The clutch comes pre-mounted with 4x 1.0 mm springs and the installation of the clutch is very easy because the ‘crown’ brings the springs to tension during the assembly, and loosens the springs for dis-assembly.

Caster Racing Fusion RTR Brushless truggy

Caster Racing have announced the release of their Fusion 1/8th brushless powered RTR truggy. Coming supplied with ‘half’ offset LPR rims and tires and new CNC machined T6 6061 high quality aluminium parts throughout, it is equipped with a powerful 80A Brushless ESC with Fusion 36/74 1880 KV XXL motor, front CVD and 4 dog bones as well as a 9kg full metal steering servo. Well balanced thanks to the battery placement this car shares most of the same parts with the K8T GP making the conversion from gas to electric not a problem.

Shepherd 15T Velox clutch pinion

Shepherd Micro Racing have extended their range of clutch pinions for the Velox competition clutch. The 15T pinion is the right choice for small and tight tracks where a lot of bottom power is needed. Like all Shepherd clutch pinions, the 15T has been manufactured from strong lightweight 7075 T6 aluminium and hardcoated to reduce wear and friction. It also features a laser engraved number for easier recognition.
