HPI Racing Formula 10 chassis

HPI Racing Formula 10 chassis

Spotted and snapped by one of our readers at the Radio Control Motorsport Experience, which is taking place this weekend during the Long Beach Indycar race in California, is this new Formula 10 chassis from HPI Racing. We don’t know much else other than what we see here in the pictures. Its a 2wd electric chassis and looks to be a faithful replica of the Formula 1 chassis’ from last year with the exception of the slick tires.

Jared Tebo wins Neo 09 race

Less than a week after his big win at the Silver State Team Orion/Kyosho/AKA factory driver Jared Tebo made the long trip over to the UK to compete against Europe’s best at the Neo 09 Race. The race format consisted of five 10-minute qualifiers with the point totals from 3 out of the 5 rounds to be used to seed the drivers into the semi’s. A 20-minute semi would then ran to advance the top drivers into the 45-minute A-Main. Tebo went on to TQ rounds 3, 4, and 5 to set the overall TQ and would then start first on the grid for the 20-minute Semi which he won by 10 seconds over 2nd place. For the 45-Minute A-Main JT would once again start from the pole position and at the start of the tone Jared got a good start and began to gap the field. After the first rounds of pit stops Tebo was still out front and looking good. With 7-minutes left to go in the main, Tebo came in for his last fuel stop and came out with close to an 8 second lead on UK’s Darren Bloomfield and never looked back. Arnaud Chaussard wins French 10th Nats Rd2

Arnaud Chaussard wins French 10th Nats Rd2

The 2nd round of the French 1/10th scale 200mm Championships was held last weekend in Herrlisheim close to the German border. Qualifying in the Elite class went the way of Kyosho man Mikael Pontal, with Thomas Desmaries the only driver able to challenge him with his Mugen in 2nd, while in the National class it was Anthony Bruyer that came out on top, the only driver to take 19 laps in this class to start ahead of Xray team mate Arthur Leclercq. In the Elite final, pole man Pontal lead the way from Desmaries who had a rear belt failure early on putting him out. Pontal lead until some problems at the 20th minute that let Xray driver Arnaud Chaussard through to the lead, and who was also making one less stop than everyone else. Arnaud would hold on for the win from the Kyosho pairing of Jacky Mouton in 2nd and Nicolas Bougnoteau in 3rd, the top 5 finishing on the same lap. In the National class it was pretty straight forward for pole man Bruyer, who had to wait till the 4th minute before taking the lead, from where he could easily win from Ayrton Auge in 2nd and Arthur Leciercg in 3rd.
