New from Xray, for the T2’009, T2‘008 or T2R Pro, is this strong rear shock tower, which is CNC-machined from premium extra-thick 3.5mm high-grade graphite to minimize breakage. It features the same shock and roll centre positions as the stock shock tower but has increased strength and reliability for high-competition racing or extreme racing conditions.

Seen for the first time at the toy fair at the beginning of February, Tamiya have now released the full details on the follow up to the TRF501X electric 4wd buggy, the TRF411. The car features a new more efficient belt drive system, improvements to the centre of gravity, balance and maintenance as well as further setup options added. The batteries and other heavy items have been optimized for better weight balance to improve stability in the air for better jumping and landing. In addition the car sports new centre bulkheads, new upper link mounting points, new front and rear bulkheads for easier maintenance of the differential and an all new body shell.
SpeedMerchant have shown some photos of their new line of LiPo friendly chassis’. Cars getting the LiPo treatment will be their current Formula Rev5 and their 200mm World GT in both 3.7V and a 7.4V saddle pack version as well. They will also have a 7.4V 235mm car for the European market, or anyone who wants to go really fast across a parking lot. The Rev5 and World GT cars will be available as conversions for those racers who already own the car and all of them will be available as complete kits, with part numbers and pricing coming in April.

Team Losi’s Adam Drake took the win last weekend in both 1/8th buggy and truggy at round 2 of the Team Losi Winter series hosted by Revelation Raceway in Ontario, CA. In the buggy class Adam won by less than a lap from pole man Andrew Kortz who finished 2nd, with Josh Wheeler in 3rd, while in truggy Adam won from pole position ahead of his team mate Kyle Johnson. Losi’s Bill Jeric was on hand to race and support the event and was not only able to TQ, but take home the victory with his Dynamite powered Losi 8ight 2.0 in the buggy beginner class.
New from Racers Edge, is their 35C Race Edition 4000mAh LiPo battery, which features industry standard bullet ports, battery case ‘bumps’ and comes with a Deans connector wire set complete with align style balance plug. LRP have released 3 new sintered rotors for the XTEC X12 brushless modified motor and feature magnets graded on a new and strengthened shaft for optimized motor performance. The 12.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum top speed with a linear throttle feel and is the preferred choice of the LRP team on big tracks with long straights. The 12.5mm is optimized for efficiency and mid-range torque and this rotor is the perfect starting point for every setup on every track and has already been successful by winning the 2008 1/12th IFMAR World Championship and 2009 1/12th European Championship. Finally the 13.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum torque and power and recommended for short tracks with many acceleration parts or on tracks that are tough on run time.
