Schumacher Racing were in contact to tell us that are searching for someone to fill an opening in their engineering department. “We require an engineer with a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering to help design and develop our innovative, world leading products. You will be required to regularly attend race meetings at weekends, to support our racing team, and use the knowledge gained to help with product testing and development. You will be a key member of a small team and will have a major input into the future direction of Schumacher products.”

Mugen MBX-6/T bearing sets

New from Mugen Seiki, for the European Championship winning MBX-6 buggy and MBX-6T truggy, are these new bearing sets. Sold in two different versions, the first set comprises of 10 pieces of 15x21x4mm for the car’s uprights, while the second bearing set is made of a variety of different bearings for the rest of the car, totaling 24 pieces. New from CSO RC Racing products in Hong Kong is this carbon chassis plate for the Serpent 733 1/10th scale chassis. This CNC machined plate is made from high quality 3.5mm thick carbon fibre and while looking great, we can’t help but think that this goes away from the principle that it is better to keep the cars heavy parts as low as possible, by making this part so lightweight it would raise the centre of gravity.

Nacho López wins 2009 Triangular trophy

Nacho López has won the first running of the 2009 Triangular trophy, which is run in Valencia, Zaragoza, Madrid. Nacho, who is born in Valencia, won two of the three races held in this year with his Mugen with second place going to Vicente Eres with his Motonica P81 and Joaquín Signes in third place with a Kyosho M3. The final race on the great facilities of the ARCA club in Madrid saw great organization, with all competitors being well taken car of throughout the event.

Distribution shake-up for Star Motor Sirio

In the ongoing saga regarding the Sirio brand, we received a notice from from Lavorazioni Meccaniche Srl, owner of the Star Motor – Sirio brand, that they have ended their exclusive distribution agreement with A.M.R.C. Srl, a company setup by Andrea Rossi and Rody Roem among others. LM went on to state that starting immediately all Star Motor – Sirio customers should contact them directly for any of their commercial or technical needs. LM also wanted to “thank A.M.R.C.Srl for their important support for the promotion of their brands made in these months of successful cooperation”.

Beginning this month’s tire releases from Pro-Line is their all new 1:8 V2 Evo Buggy Inserts, that claim to be the lightest closed cell foam available on the market. Perfectly balanced, they require no break in period and remain more consistent in size, shape and density than traditional closed cell foam. Also new is the Hole Shot 2.0 2.2″ Off-Road buggy rear tires, that we showed you a sneak peak of during the weekend. Featuring an updated pin design that lasts longer, small, square-lug technology throughout tire, they sport new outer pins which are angled to resist catching ruts. Next up, the Inside Job tire is renowned as a fantastic performer when the track surface is high bite. M3 compound is soft and made more for outdoor track conditions.
