X-Factory X-60 new body complete

Last week we brought you the first X-60 body shell photo and today we have received more new photos of the X-60 conversion kit from X Factory. These photos show the new body in its entirety mounted on Paul’s truck. The X-60, expected to be on the market in about three weeks, converts the AE T4 into a mid-motor truck for improved handling in corners, over bumps, and in the air. Team driver Brian Kinwald said:

This thing is awesome. No other word needed. Awesome. It looks super-cool and is faster than any truck I’ve ever driven. All four of the Team trucks were dialed at the Reedy Race. Jeremy Felles put his in the Show with two great qualifying runs. Alex Krieg’s truck was just stuck to the track. My X-60 was super-dialed. In qualifier 3, a back-marker took me out while I was on a TQ run. We worked very hard on this truck, changing everything several times as we went along to make it perfect. Like, we tried five different chassis lengths until we got the one that works best at most tracks. The whole thing has taken lots longer than we thought, but, trust me, it is worth the wait. And now we’ve got this incredible body! Totally dialed!

Numan Wins Team Orion Invitational

This past weekend Bending Corners Raceway in Orange County, California played host to the Team Orion Invitational race which would use the Reedy Race type heads up format for the Invitational drivers. The race format used the drivers 4 best points out of the 5 rounds of racing allowing 1 round to be thrown out. Team Orion Factory Driver Josh Numan looked very fast in practice on Saturday laying down very impressive lap times especially considering it was the first time he would run LiPo power in his TC. On Sunday morning the races were set to get underway at 10:00am but unfortunately light rain showers in the morning delayed the start until 12:00pm. After all 5 rounds of racing were complete, it was Numan that took home the championship, with 3 wins and 1 second place finish for a total of 5 points, Steve Weiss took 2nd with 6 points and Lex Tyler rounded out the top 3 with 8 points.

Xray Column – The Busiest Season Ever

The 23rd installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj recaps on their season, one of busiest for the Xray team so far.

For an RC car designer it is of course his task to be at the tracks, analyzing everything and taking care of his product, team and every other related thing. This summer I really put in a huge amount of my time and energy to make Xray cars and the team as successful as possible. Now I will have to switch a little bit to the other side – focusing more on taking care of the company, new projects, and new developments… and leading the R&D, production and managements teams – to keep a good balance.
