Shepherd have introduced their updated 2-speed gearbox for the Velox V8.2 on-road kit. The new 2-speed shoes are made from a more consistent composite material using an M4 grub screw to adjust the gap between the shoes and the bell. The 2nd gear bell is machined from high quality 7075-T6 aluminium and features a slightly bigger inner diameter to be able to set the correct gap. To update current V8.2s the items are available as an upgrade set. In case the M1.0 gearbox is still in use Shepherd offer a complete set including spur gears, pinions and all necessary hardware….

Shepherd have announced the released of their latest optional item for the Velox V8 and V10 platforms. The extra heavy brass weight can be used in combination with the Advance Weight System for the V8 as well as the V10. With 39g the weight lowers the centre of gravity significantly and quick fine tuning of the car’s weight balance is even easier. Coming from Desiles Aero are new aero option parts for the Shepherd Velox V8.2 on-road kit. First up is an extra long rear body mount arm. These arms are 2.7mm longer than the original part in order to increase the height of body. It does away with the need to put a piece of foam onto the rear body mount as some drivers do. Using the longer arms will ensure all downforce produced by the rear of the body is transferred directly to the wheels. Coming from Shepherd and made for the Advanced Weight System of the Velox V8.2 and V10 is a new brass insert. The part is milled from high-quality raw material and adds 16g of weight compared to the standard aluminium variant, lowering the centre of gravity even more which is beneficial especially on high-grip tracks. Hot on the heels of their new hard suspension plastics set for the Velox V10, Shepherd now also release a kit for their popular Velox V8.2 1/8th scale on-road car. The new hard plastic part set includes all wishbones, uprights and body mounts in a harder variant. The high-quality composite material is characterised by an increased percentage of fibre glass in comparison to the standard wishbones, improving car handling on high-grip tracks or when used in high ambient temperatures. Shepherd have introduced a set of hard plastic suspension parts for the Velox V10 “nineteen“ 1/10th 200mm nitro touring car. The hard plastics set includes all six upper and lower suspension arms moulded in a harder high-quality composite material that is characterised by an increased percentage of fibre glass in comparison to the standard wishbones, improving car’s handling on high grip tracks or when used at high temperatures.
