KO Propo 2.4GHz radio & Brushless ESC

KO Propo 2.4Ghz radio

At the recent Tokyo Hobby Show in Japan, KO Propo showed off a number of new items on their stand and Hong Kong based company Roche was there to take pictures. First up, as you can see above, is the new 2.4GHz Spread Spektrum system, which is to be used in all their high end module based radios with the set coming complete with a miniature SS receiver. For Mini-Z fans KO have also got a 2.4GHz system in the works and this too was on display at the show. Also new on the KO Propo stand was a prototype Brushless speed controller shown connected to a Team Orion Vortex motor, but apart from what I can see in the pictures, I have no other details on this product.

Team Titan Blitz rear wing set

Team Titan Blitz rear wing set

Team Titan have released this rather nifty rear wing set for their Blitz 1/8th scale on road body shells. The 2 wings, or trim strips, come pre-cut on a single piece of molded 1mm thick polycarbonate and essentially offer you 2 additional tuning aids for your car. The Type I wing is specially designed to give lots of down force, while Type II can reduce the turbulence from the engines INS-Box and cooling Head. Type I is perfect for use with the Blitz Lola 05 and Type II works great on the Lola 06 and many other body shells.

BRCA 1/12th Nationals Round 2

BRCA 1/12th Nationals Round 2

The second round of the BRCA 1/12th scale Nationals were run last weekend at the Chippenham indoor track for both 19T and Modified classes. In the 19T class, which was run on Saturday, it was Matt White that took the pole position, but a slow start in the final meant he was eaten up by the pack and after the positions settled down, it was Keith Robertson that was at the front, taking the win from Chris Kerswell and Matt White. In the Modified class on Sunday, the pole position went to current National Champion and round 1 winner Andy Griffiths but in the final he was made to work for the win having been knocked down the order at the beginning of the race. He managed to regain his pace and worked his way back to the front with a great recovery drive, taking the win from 2nd placed Matt White with 3rd spot going to a very close Mark Stiles.

CEFX C12 Phoenix 1/12th scale

CEFX C12 Brushless released

A while ago we showed you some CAD images from the new C12 1/12th scale from Josh Cyrul’s company CEFX, well it appears the car is now ready and here are some photos of the new car, the C12 Phoenix. This is the version for brushless motors, which as explained previously had to be made seperately from the original brushed motor version, as trying to make a car work for both motor types would mean too much of a compromise for both.

ALS Racing M242 1/24th scale

ALS Racing M242 1/24th scale

ALS Racing have released the first pictures of their new 1/24th scale chassis, called the M242. Designed specifically for use on carpet, the car is powered by 2 Lipo cells or 6 AAA cells and due to its design and construction, as well as newly designed ball differential, the car can achieve high cornering speeds and provide lots of racing fun. This micro scale seems to be garnering some interest from a number of manufacturers with the news that Serpent will release its own car into this class after the new car was spotted at the recent iHobby show in Chicago.
