Designed for carpet and high traction race tracks, the Evo X  provides very fast response as well as a balanced and a smooth ride. Team Losi HD Brake Disk Set

Team Losi have announced the release of this HD vented brake disk set, for their 8ight and 8ight T. Machined from special high-thermal mass material, they can withstand very high temperatures for extended periods of time without failure. With brake disk life increased by 250% over the stock set, they offer consistent braking even after long run times, while slots in the disks eliminate caliper float caused by material gassing and the slots also help cool the braking components.

Charge RC Kyosho Spada bumper

Charge RC in Japan have announced the upcoming release of this extra wide bumper for the Kyosho Spada gas powered 1/12th scale. Made from 3mm thick impact resistant material, the bumper extends to the full width of the body shell helping to protect the front end of the car in the event of an accident. Available from November 10th.

3 Racing, makers of after market upgrade parts for R/C Cars, have just released the 2nd version of their Automatic tire truer. As with the first generation truer, it has a variable speed fully-automatic truing cycle, adjustable sanding edge and comes supplied with wheel adaptors for 1/8, 1/10 and 1/12 scale tires. What’s new is that you can now power it using built in batteries, similar to a starter box, it now has a handle and comes supplied in an extra light-weight protection box.

Bill Jeric is new President of Losi

Bill Jeric new President of Losi

Horizon Hobby, Inc. have announced that Bill Jeric has been named President of Losi. Horizon Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer, Joe Ambrose, made the announcement stating that, “Bill’s extensive knowledge of the RC industry, as well as his long-time industry experience, make him the perfect choice for leading Losi into the future.” Jeric’s involvement in all things RC stretches back over 30 years, from his early experience as a hobby retailer and his direct interaction with consumers, to his work bringing 1/8-scale buggy racing to prominence in the US market. Bill’s experience with industry leaders like Parma International, Thunder Tiger, Megatech and Horizon Hobby brings a wealth of understanding and expertise to the Losi team. Hoppe wins Hildesheim 1/12th German qualifier

Last weekend Team Kyosho 1:8 on road nitro driver, and 2006 Class 2 race winner, Lars Hoppe moved back into electric powered racing for the winter. The former Corally team driver and 2006 DHI-Cup winner was debuting his new 1:12th Corally in the first round of the qualification of the North German region in Hildesheim. It turned out to be a perfect weekend for the Corally team, with Lars going on to win the modified class while Jan Asmer took the win in the Stock class.

 Speed Passion Gran Turismo & Feigao ESCs

Speed Passion were in contact to tell us about their new line of brushless speed controllers, called the Gran Turismo and Feigao. The Gran Turismo has been designed for competition touring car racing and can handle 2.5R brushless motors, or 4 turn brushed motors, and has a maximum output current of 600A. It comes with a built in green power feature that gives you consistent power delivery and longer run times, and it also allows you to adjust the brushless motor timing using its 8 built-in modes. The Feigao on the other hand is designed for use with Pro Stock on road racing, or modified off road class racing, working best with 9.5, 10.5 11.5 and 13.5R BL motors. With a maximum current of 240A, the ESC can handle up to 5.5R motors with 6 cells or a 4.5R with 5 cells. This ESC features a special racing design program that allows the user to adjust the start, punch and braking.
