Capricorn C04 200mm nitro on-road kit – Coming soon

Italian company Capricorn has released a first teaser and information on their forthcoming new C04 1/10th nitro on-road kit. The follow-up model from their highly successful C03 platform will feature many new upgrades such as an all-new 7075 aluminium chassis which will feature shiftable weights under the fuel tank area for increased weight balance and stability. Also new is the ability to change the rear geometry greatly with the lower arms now mounted in adjustable inserts for up to twelve different geometry settings. Other new features include an updated upper deck with a new fuel tank mounted from the top for easy removal of the tank, the battery will be mounted on the left side of the upper deck for optimsed weight balance, and there will be the option to change the front flex from soft to hard for a greater set up window in different traction conditions. New steering hubs will be another new feature to achieve a greater steering lock and rear CVD driveshafts will be available as an option. The kit is set for a release in late March.

Ronald Völker takes pole at German ETS

Ronald Volker secured the overall top qualifying position in the final group of qualifying of Saturday’s action at Round 2 of the 2019/2020 Euro Touring Series in Daun, Germany. Ronald took the advantage in Saturday morning’s Q3 to move ahead of overnight pole sitter Marc Rheinard, and backed that up with the fastest time in Q4 to ensure that his BD10 would lead the field away for the triple leg finals. Lining up second on the grid will be Marc Rheinard, the Tonisport-backed driver campaigning an Awesomatix this weekend with support from the factory team. Visibly showing fresh motivation with his new chassis, Marc was a little disappointed to be pushed to second on the grid, but with his laptimes almost identical to Ronald’s, it is expected to be a tough fight at the front in the finals.

RPM N20 Resto-Mod 26mm touring car wheels

RPM have announced the release of their new N20 Resto-Mod 26mm touring car wheels specifically designed for the Kyosho Fazer Mk2 but fitting other 1/10th touring cars too. N₂O is the chemical formula for Nitrous Oxide, one of the most powerful fuel additives on the planet. And now it’s also the formula for one of the best-looking resto-mod wheels from RPM. The wheels are sold in pairs and designed specifically for the Kyosho Fazer Mk2 line but will fit many sedans running 26mm wide wheels, however in some cases spacers may be necessary for hex nut style axles. Wheel offset is +4.7mm and RPM recommends 64mm diameter tyres for Kyosho models such as the Chevelle, Charger, Camaro and Hellcat, although 67mm gives a taller sidewall for a beefier stance. The wheels are available in black or chrome colour.
