The original kit was released back in 1991 and the basic construction and design of the model remains true to the original, with various minor upgrades that ensure the kit is usable with today’s high-power batteries and motors. Arrowmax have introduced their new red series 6200mAh Si-Graphene technology low-profile LiPo battery pack for touring car applications. Measuring 139mmx47mm and being 22.5mm tall the pack is lower than conventional 25mm packs for a lower overall centre of gravity while the high-performance 65C/130C promise a lower drop of of voltage over the run compared to charging LiHV packs to a standard 8.4V. Coming from SkyRC is their new Toro Beast V2 brushless speed controller for 1/5th scale applications. The 4S to 8S LiPo-compatible ESC offers a 6V/7.4V BEC system with up to 15A of output current and it is highly programmable using an optional programming box or PC interface.
