Dionys Stadler TQs & wins at Swiss Indoor Champs Rd2

The second round of the Swiss Indoor Championship was held this past weekend in Wettingen in the Northern part of the country. In the Touring Modified class it was Awesomatix’s Dionys Stadler with the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifying rounds. The triple A-main events then again saw Dionys holding the upper hand, leaving behind Marco Kaufmann (Xray) in 2nd from Awesomatix’s Michele Manzo in 3rd.

Xray GTX8 & GTXE C-hub conversion kit

Coming from Xray and made for their GTX8 nitro and GTXE electric 1/8th scale GT kits is a C-hub front suspension conversion set. The C-hub suspension is suited for most standard track conditions and makes the car more responsive while increasing steering, resulting in faster lap times. The C-hub suspension also reduces tyre wear with the caster being easily adjustable in a ±2 degree range using various optional caster blocks.

Carlos Barros wins IRC Series

The final round of the Spanish IRC Series was held at the Totana track recently. In the single Touring 10.5T class it was Carlos Barros with the overall TQ and also the win at the final round, posting also the best qualifying time and fastest lap in the process. With three TQs and three wins out of four rounds, Carlos also took the overall 2019 championship.

Xray Racing Series Poland Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Xray Racing Series Poland was a joint race together with the Polish Nationals and it attracted more then 300 entries for the electric on-road and off-road classes. Held in the Polish “RC capital” Lodz, the races were held on purpose-built tracks in the Atlas Arena with the two main tracks being added by drift, trail and micro racing tracks. Racing-wise and in the on-road classes it was Jakub Rozycki (Xray) who was unstoppable in Touring Modified with the TQ and overall win. Filip Jasionowski (Xray) came in 2nd and Arkadiusz Smyk (Tamiya) ended the day on the 3 spot.

Rebellion-RC T4 FWD conversion kits

Coming from RC-Carbonstore’s Rebellion-RC brand is a FWD chassis conversion kit for the Xray T4 touring car. Developed for the use with 2019 down to 2013 variants of the ultra-popular touring car, the conversion includes a new single-piece machined aluminium motor and servo mount with integrated flex adjustments, an ultra-precise stainless steel main shaft, a new servo bridge for optimised servo positioning, a newly developed slider steering assembly, and two types of battery mounts for easy balance adjusting. Also included are the machined spur gear mount and centre pulley, and a unique rear body stay mount that utilises Xray X1 caster inserts to allow for easy body height adjustments. The conversion kit is available including a carbon fibre or Rebellion-RC’s signature CrossFlex aluminium chassis, the latter allows for easy weight balance and torsional flex adjustments using optional brass inserts. To suit pretty much all versions of the pre-2020 T4 chassis, the conversion is available with three different shock tower specifications.

Speedzone Evolution SC80 80A spec speed controller

Coming from Speedzone’s Evolution brand is the SC80 80A spec class electronic speed controller. The SC80 is specifically designed for 1/10 scale spec class racing and is suitable for both off-road and on-road classes. It comes factory set in “blinky” mode with the same setup of United States Stock TC ace Dave Johnson. And although the factory default setting is an optimised setup for blinky mode, an optional program box is available to customise settings to suite driving styles in blinky mode as well as non-blinky mode. The controller is 2S LiPo compatible, has a 9.5T and above motor limit and comes with factory installed wires, capacitor and fan.

IGT8 new design hubs & knuckle arms

Coming from IGT8 and made for their range of 1/8th GT vehicles are new hubs and knuckle arms with optional carbon fibre wheel discs. Tested by the company’s team drivers on different tracks and in various conditions, the new rear hubs offer three different roll centre positions while the front knuckles utilise a new 2.5 degree kingpin angle which provide more steering than the previous 5 degree plastic and aluminium versions. As for the newly developed wheel discs, these create more traction and can be used as a tuning option.

Marka Racing Awesomatix driveshaft tool

Coming soon from Marka Racing is their new aluminium driveshaft tool for the Awesomatix touring cars. The 2-piece set allows for easier building and maintenance of the front driveshafts when using the standard or optional ST17-1-S hexagonal couplers. The wrenches come machined from high-quality aluminium, they sport a black surface coating for wear and laser-etched Marka Racing logos for easy identification.
