RPM Rustler 4×4 body savers

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas Rustler 4×4 is a body savers kit. The parts were designed to reinforce new or used body shells that can crack around the body mount holes. Out front, the savers look like moulded hood vents while in the rear, they look like exposed sections of a roll cage. It’s a perfect way to camouflage their intended purpose and yet still keep the body firmly attached. The way they work is straightforward; there are two pairs of screws holding the sub-frame of the body mounting system to the body in both the front and rear of the truck. The body savers tie two pairs of screws together, dispersing the pressure of holding the body to the sub-frame over a wide area of the body. Even if the bottom of the mounting holes in the body are completely ripped out from prior crashes, the system still works. The body savers are moulded in black from ultra strong, engineering grade nylons for performance and are sold with four body savers in each kit.

Ultimate Racing M4R V2.0 nitro off-road engine

Modelix Racing have introduced the new Ultimate Racing M4R V2.0 nitro off-road engine. The 4-port power plant utilises a tuned crankshaft and offers linear power supply at both low and high RPM combined with improved fuel mileage, exceptional performance and reliability. The main changes from the previous version are the new cooling head design as well as the last evolution of the carburettor which is even easier to tune and more stable at different RPM compared to the previous version. The cooling head is also used on the M5 engines and it is keeping the engine cooler for improved performance at high temperatures. Its lightweight design ensures a low overall centre of gravity while the diameter of the head’s central bore has been reduced for more reliable temperature measurement as the new design ensured temp guns will not touch the glow plug. The composite carburettor of the M4R V2.0 is made by Novarossi and of a reverse type with a sliding throttle valve. It provides high idle stability, more precise tuning and higher mid/top range power.

JConcepts Slash 4×4 mesh chassis cover

JConcepts have introduced their new breathable mesh chassis cover for the Traxxas Slash 4×4 short course truck. When racing on a loamy or topsoil track surface the inside of the Slash chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the mesh chassis cover these worries are minimized with the simple and functional part. Fitting nicely under the body, the JConcepts chassis cover hugs the outside dimension of the Slash chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing and bash conditions. The chassis cover fits snug around the entire chassis structure while being attached along the sides with the included hook and loop tape for easy access. The versatile part of the design comes from the mesh material, zipper closure and Velcro attachment which makes changing batteries or routine maintenance a breeze. The mesh itself is breathable and keeps out large debris while allowing airflow around the electrical items inside the chassis.
