The Bernau track near Berlin played host to round 2 of the Berlin Brandenburg Championship last weekend. The race was held in sizzling hot weather conditions and in the Touring Super Stock class it was Xray’s Niklas Hillig who took the opening two qualifying rounds to take the overall TQ and pole position for the finals. Starting from P1 allowed Niklas to stay ahead of the pack and to take the wins in legs 1 and 2 of the A-mains for the overall victory as Xray’s Lukas Ellerbrock and Awesomatix driver, Dennis Fadtke came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. …Gollner in 2nd. Marcell Wostalek came in 3rd overall as top qualifier, Sascha Klug had to settle for 4th overall. Touring Stock 13.5T had Robin Riedmann taking the pole position for the triple A-main events, however it was Wiktor Smid with the overall win from Robin in 2nd. Jürgen Linsberger came in 3rd overall to round out the podium result. The popular FWD Touring class had Florian Luyer taking the overall TQ and he also walked away with the silverware after the triple A-main events, as René Kronsteiner and Andreas Teubl came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. …respectively. The Modified class A-main saw Elliott Harper with the win from Ben Moorey in 2nd and Chris Grainger in 3rd. Harley Eldridge came in 4th, Adrian Bidewell completed the top 5 result. Over in 17.5T Touring it was Billy Fletcher with the win from Jay Westwood on the runner-up spot. Mark Trinder, Shaun Batt and Matt Quinlisk rounded out the top 5. Last but not least and in the FWD class it was Nathan Parker with the win from Jak Sansom and Tristan Willby. Stuart Colby and Remo Casadei came in 4th and 5th place respectively. The Italian Minicar Fontanellato held their 30 Years Anniversary Trophy last weekend in several 1/10th and 1/8th scale electric on-road classes. In Touring 13.5T EFRA it was Alessandro Arisi with the overall TQ after a clean sweep in all three qualifying rounds. The opening A-main was won by Edoardo Forte, however Guido Carbognani would take wins in A2 and A3 for the overall from Edoardo Forte in 2nd and Nicholas Papa in 3rd.
