…R/C Speedway. With two drops from the 7 rounds run so far, Volker holds a 3-point lead over Wilck with the gap to third placed Marc Rheinard now up at 4-points. For the defending champion, his latest race was another disappointing run as he got a P4 which he is currently counting together with his P7 from the day’s opening round as his two drop scores. That encounter was won by RROC debutant Lucas Urbain, the Awesomatix driver winner from previous round winners, Ryan Cavalieri and Akio Sobue. In the other encounter, which featured no less than 8 US drivers, it was the visitors that came through to complete the Top 3. Starting 10th on the grid Ronald Volker was up to third by the hairpin on the opening lap and soon after was out front for a dominant win. …hot pursuit. His challenge came too late as he finished in 2nd position, just 0.8 seconds behind Florian. After this final, the heavens opened and a huge downpour flooded the race track. The officials decided not to run the remaining two finals and the ranking was made based upon the first A-main. The overall position was Florian Joos (Xray), Oliver Bultynck (Awesomatix), Mitchell Van Es (Awesomatix), Liam Van de Wouwer (ARC). The fifth round of the FinTrack Tour took place at the Kuusankoski outdoor track this past weekend in perfect weather conditions. In the Touring Modified class it was Miko Teponoja with the overall TQ from Georgy Chmigal and Karri Salmela who also took a round each. In A1 and A2 Miko would come out on top, handing him the overall win early as Georgy Chmigal cemented his runner-up spot with a win in A3.
