1:12 & ISTC 2026 IFMAR World C/ship Stage 1 Report

The organisers of the highly anticipated 1:12 & ISTC 2026 IFMAR World Championships have just published the Stage 1 report, the championships not following the usual end of season schedule and instead running from late March into early April. Set to take place at the impressive newly built Hongyu GDC track in Foshan City, China, the event will open with 1:12 running from March 26-29th before the best touring car drivers in the world battle it out for the greatest prize in the sport from April 1-4th. While the Touring Cars will run on the outdoor asphalt track, the Hongyu GDC facility housing three onroad and offroad tracks, for 1:12 a tent enclosure climate controlled track will be prepared to shield it from any elements of the changing weather. This track will use ETS carpet laid on top of a raised platform ensuring that it will not be affected by environmental changes. In terms of controlled tyres ISTC will run on a specially branded GDC Pro Spec 36X racing, similar to the very well received 2024 USA World’s spec tyre. For 1:12 it is also a GDC branded tyre called the Carpet Magic. Controlled tyre additive is also produced by a well used & known brand and will be supplied as GDC Magic Grip (Asphalt) for ISTC and GDC Magic Grip (Carpet) for 1:12. 2025/26 RugRacers Round 1 – Report

British Winter series Rugracers returned last weekend for the 2025/2026 season with Round 1 of 3 attracting a record front wheel drive entry alongside Stock and Modified. Notable changes this season being the change of race format to Round by Round & the addition of bump up finals for the winners of the Leg 1 B finals. Series title sponsor Schumacher are also joined by RDT Products, TI22, MoodyFools & SC Models supporting all rounds. Modified defending champion, multiple National & EWS Champion, Elliott Harper would start his defence ahead of Alex Thurston & the fastest multi class female on the planet Harley Eldridge, Harper securing 3 of 4 rounds to take TQ, rounds being super close and down to the wire he would line up ahead of Thurston then Eldridge. Leg 1 was secured by Harper with Thurston 2/10ths behind as they crossed the timing loop after a superb nose to tail fight for the win, Eldridge 3rd, Leg 2, the top 3 broke away again with pressure being applied to Elliott from both cars behind, able to keep it all under control Harper brought home the win ahead of Thurston with Eldridge in 3rd place.

Capricorn Quantum 1:8 Onroad Chassis

Italian nitro onroad specialists Capricorn has unveiled CAD images of their all new Quantum 1:8 Onroad car. Developed in-house, Capricorn say it represents a design concept and technical exercise marking the beginning of a new generation of 1:8 GP cars. The Quantum stands as a conceptual and engineering evolution, created to explore new technical solutions and define the future standards of the category. It is a completely new car that is the result of Patrizio Rossi’s experience, continuous research for top-level performance, and a distinctive design that reflects the Capricorn philosophy. The first production batch will be strictly limited to 150 numbered units, distributed across key markets, with no reproduction planned for at least the next six months. Expecting strong demand for pre-orders, Capricorn will release more technical details and official photos shortly while also stating that the Capricorn C804 “R” remains their proven, title-winning platform, continuing to deliver championship-winning performance and world-class quality.

Kaemtech CAT PB Shock Towers

German company Kaemtech Racing Products has released new optional shock towers for the recently released Schumacher CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy. Offered in both Plain Weave Carbon and Forged Carbon, the 4mm front shock tower offers extended pivot points for the upper turnbuckle links for further setup options with the rear shock tower offering extended pivot points for the upper wishbones.

MTTR has released this 2.0mm Aluminium Chassis the Tamiya TRF F104 1:10 Formula Chassis. RC-Project MBX8R Steering Kit

New from RC-Project, the Italian aftermarket option parts brand, comes this new steering kit for the Mugen Seiki MBX8R 1:8 Buggy. Designed to offer a wide range of adjustments and even greater precision in front-end control, the new system allows you to fine-tune the bump steer, making full use of the entire Front Hub travel, both on the inner and outer wheels. The three adjustment options on the Front Hub Carrier let you adapt the bump steer according to the caster angle used, while also allowing you to adjust steering sensitivity in three different positions. This kit is an evolution of the Ackerman system RC-Project developed in 2020, providing enhanced precision, versatility, and steering feel.

XC-ESC GL6 Brushless 8S FOC Crawler ESC

Following the recent release of their GL4990 8S FOC DrivenUltra-Powerful Crawler Motor, XC-ESC has announced the GL6 FOC Crawler ESC. With a maximum continuous 200A it is intended for large 1:5 and 1:6 Crawlers. With a BEC range of 8~25A Max, it features advanced FOC high-speed current loop and microsecond-level current control for strong torque at low speed. Smart torque output & speed servo control mean on uphill the ESC automatically increases torque output to overcome resistance and ensure smooth climbing. On the downhill, the ESC automatically reduces torque to maintain stable speed control. With up to 19 programmable settings, this ESC gives you full control over key crawling functions, including Drag force, torque compensation, and simulated inertia. Plus, the Turbo timing adjustment of up to 24° unlocks maximum torque and performance when you need it most. Ovffered as a combo with the GL4990, compared to conventional motors, efficiency increased by 8%, power loss is decreased by 24%, and you get smooth control without noise.

Takashima D-13 A800R Steel Chassis

Takashima D-13 has a new product line coming in the range of Steel Chassis for 1:10 Touring Car with the first release for the A800R from Awesomatix. The same thickness as the original Awesomatix offering, the Takashima D-13 version product features superior quality and finish. In collaboration with a full-scale automotive machining factory team, they have selected a special steel that offers an optimal balance of strength and durability. The chassis features ultra-flat precision grinding with nanometer-level accuracy and a mirror-finish surface treatment for exceptional performance and consistency. Designed to be used with 120-degree flat head screws, it no longer requires special custom screws, greatly improving cost efficiency and ease of availability. The chassis will be available in early of November, and more versions are already on the way.
