TSP-Racing T80 BHS & T62 BHM servos

2-Speed from Germany have announced the release of the new TSP-Racing T80 BHS standard and T62 BHM low-profile competition servos. Starting with the T80 BHS, the standard-size servo utilises a brushless motor for a torque of up to 36kg-cm at a speed of down to 0.071s at 8.4V input. Steel gears and an aluminium case make for high durability and best possible heat dissipation in long nitro mains. The low-profile brushless-powered T62 BHM is capable of speeds of down to 0.06s and a torque of 15kg-cm, making it ideal for most 1/10th scale applications. Steel gears and an alloy case ensure rigidity and cool looks. Digital technology provodes strong holding torque, high positioning accuracy and quiet operation. Both servos come equipped with all-black wires for a professional appearance and they will become available by mid-June.

Martinelli & Fankhauser win at Swiss IC Track Rd2

The second round of the Swiss IC Track Championship was held at the iconic Lostallo track this past weekend. Saturday’s qualification was held in mixed weather conditions with the day starting off dry but becoming a wet affair during the lunch break. In the 1/8th class it was Luca Martinelli with the TQ from Mattia Pesenti, Ales Haydekr and Jürg Nydegger. The final then saw Mattia Pesenti leading the field in the opening stages, however a crash with another driver at the 12-minute mark disturbed his race as he had to change tyres. A few minutes later Mattia was already chasing Luca Martinelli for the lead but a longer than expected tyre change 18 minutes to the end was another set back for Pesenti. Mattia then tried his best to close in on the leader again but he would run out of tyres and had to settle for 2nd overall behind Luca Martinelli. Rudi Scherrer came in 3rd to round out the podium.

Kurzbuch wins “Really Tough” Rucphen battle

Simon Kurzbuch has taken the win at Round 2 of the 2019 Infinity Euro Nitro Series, but it was anything but easy as the three time ENS Champion seemed unlikely to even make the podium in the first half of the race. Qualifying fourth on the grid after admitting that he had struggled on Saturday, Kurzbuch initially circulated in fourth place, fighting with Dominic Greiner, who had bumped up from the B Final, as the race out front initially seemed to be a fight between the top three qualifiers of Dario Balestri, Robert Pietsch and Carmine Raiola. Deciding only to make one four tyre change at the half way point, as the other top runners chose two full changes, the Swiss driver confirmed that he knew he “couldn’t go at the pace of Balestri and Raiola, so we decided to make one less fuel stop [by running longer between stops] and making only one tyre change”.
