Pro-Line Invader 1/8th buggy tyre

Pro-Line have introduced their new Invader tyre for 1/8th off-road buggies. The next step forward in extreme wear while still providing the fast lap performance, the unique interlocking cross-shaped Invader pins down the centre of the tyre deliver exceptional tread life, while the small, flexible pins on the side provide optimised grip on a variety of surfaces. The tyre is meant to feel super smooth and accelerate and brake incredibly straight, giving an advantage in close racing conditions. The tyre comes as pair including blue closed cell inserts and it is available in soft M3, super soft M4, medium S2 and soft S3 compounds.

Pro-Line 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor truck body shell

Coming from Pro-Line and made for 12.3” wheelbase scale crawlers is the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor truck body shell. This body will completely transform any 313mm wheelbase truck into an Ultra Scale aggressive Raptor rig perfect for rock crawling. The details from the full-size 2017 Raptor have been faithfully recreated and will give scale rigs truck a unique look compared to the sea of old-school classic trucks that have been dominating the crawling scene. The single piece body is very light for a lower centre of gravity and improved crawling performance. Window masks, paint-then-peel overspray film and fully licensed detailed stickers are included to finish off the look.

Lantheaume double TQs & wins French Buggy Nats Rd5

The Gargenville astro turf track recently played host to round 5 of the French 1/10th Electric Off-road Championship. Xray’s Armand Lantheaume would double TQ the 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy classes and he also went on to take the day’s win in both categories. In the 2WD class A2 winner, young Clement Boda (Team Associated), took the overall runner-up spot from Francois Guerbois (Xray) on the 3 spot. In 4WD Armand was accompanied on the podium by HB Racing’s Thomas Anger in 2nd and Team Associated’s Clement Boda 3rd.

Team Associated B6.1 alloy diff height inserts

Team Associated have introduced the new aluminium differential height inserts for the B6.1 series of off-road kits. They are a direct replacement for the standard composite items and are a lot more durable while offering exceptional precision. Orientation numbers are etched onto the inserts, making them easy to read. The 4-piece set is compatible with RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10B6.1 FL, RC10T6.1, and RC10SC6.1 kits.

Mark Sousa wins at O-Town RC Raceway Series finale

O-Town RC Raceway recently held their series finale and in the NitroBuggy A-main it was TLR’s Dakota Phend and Xray’s Mark Sousa who started to break away from the rest of the field early in the race. Eventually Mark was able to make a move while both were going through traffic. After that the two battled for a bit and then Dakota would have a few mistakes which would allow Sousa to pull away and open up a good lead. After some swift pitstops Mark was able to take the win with Dakota Phend 2nd and Mugen’s Sam Langer 3rd.

2018 New South Wales State Titles – Report

The 2018 RCRA New South Wales State titles saw drivers from the local club, other New South Wales clubs as well as a strong group of Queensland drivers come to race at Glen Innes, a rural town on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. A new track layout was just finished and would provide a challenge for all drivers. With the grippe track, bumps and some tricky jumps, 2WD Mod was always going to be about buggy placement and not pushing too hard in the wrong places. Current Australian 2WD Mod champ Christopher Sturdy took the TQ from Mitchell Pratt in 2nd and Jason Ryan in 3rd. A1 and A2 was all Christopher Sturdy taking the title over Mitchell Pratt in 2nd with Troy Milton coming from 5th on the grid to take 3rd.
