Mark Sousa wins at O-Town RC Raceway Series finale

O-Town RC Raceway recently held their series finale and in the NitroBuggy A-main it was TLR’s Dakota Phend and Xray’s Mark Sousa who started to break away from the rest of the field early in the race. Eventually Mark was able to make a move while both were going through traffic. After that the two battled for a bit and then Dakota would have a few mistakes which would allow Sousa to pull away and open up a good lead. JConcepts RC8B3.1 Silencer body shell

First developed for the 2012 IFMAR World Championships, JConcepts’ Silencer body has been a mainstay in the JC’s product line which is available for a number of difference vehicles in the market with the latest being the Team Associated RC8B3.1. For the precise fit, the design has undergone changes to match the RC8B.1 chassis side-guards and body mount positioning. The Silencer stance cockpit allows ample fuel tank access, a smoother high-speed windshield transition and increased flow around the engine heat-sink. A deep recess around the engine compartment with dual channeling out the rear provides air escape along with rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tyres. The extended runner features are placed on the rear-end of the body enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are heavily chamfered and a more heat-shrink design over the pipe, fuel tank and electrical / linkage make up the main pods. The body is capped off with a cockpit shark fin for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness and it comes including window masks and a decal sheet.
