Rick V wins Rd3 Dutch Nationals

Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the Dutch 1/8th scale National championships run on the bumpy Real 80 circuit in Groningen, in the north of the country. Qualifying saw top International Mugen racer, Rick V take the pole position spot from, round 1 and 2 winner, John Ermen in 2nd, Rob Kuijper in 3rd and Danny Leewis, the final direct qualifier, in 4th. Maarten van Lierop wins Rd2 of Dutch 200mm Nationals

The second round of the Dutch 1/10th 200mm Nationals was run last weekend at the ultra fast Rucphen track, host of the first 2 rounds of the Dutch 1/8th scale National championship. Qualifying saw Serpent driver Jordy Blok take the top spot, but as the rain started to fall very few drivers decided to take part in the semi finals with only 4 racers running the first semi final and only 2 starting the 2nd semi final, meaning everyone had a good chance to make it through to the main event. John Ermen wins Rd2 Dutch Nationals

Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the Dutch 1/8th scale National Championship return to the venue of the first round of the series, Rucphen in the south west of Holland. In a repeat performance from the first round it was John Ermen, driving for Serpent, that took the top spot in qualifying as the only driver to hit 23 laps followed by Rick V for Mugen in 2nd. In the race itself it was a pretty easy run for John until a coming together with slowing team mate Rob Kuijper forced John into the pits to fix his body…

John Ermen wins Rd1 Dutch Nationals

Last weekend saw the opening round of the 2007 Dutch Nationals take place at the very fast Rucphen track in the south west of the country. The event played host to the 2 Dutch National 1/8th scale classes, the NK class for the top guys and the Nomac class for slightly slower drivers or newcomers. In the NK class it was local driver and Serpent racer John Ermen that took the win ahead of another local driver and top international, Rick Vrielijnck racing for Mugen in what was a blisteringly quick event, with lap times 7 tenths of a second…
