HPI Racing Venture FJ universal wheel well

Coming from HPI Racing and made for the Venture Toyota FJ trail truck is the universal wheel well set. It is the ideal way to help keep the inside of the truck clean, plus it adds extra realism to the rig at the same time. The item is made from clear, flexible and lightweight polycarbonate, and to make it fit users simply cut it out and paint it in the desired colour using RC polycarbonate paint for an cool, scale look that also keeps away dust, dirt and moisture. Included come instructions and mounting hardware.

Team Associated CR12 Ford F-150 RTR pick-up

Team Associated have introduced their all-new CR12 1/12th scale Ready-To-Run electric 4×4 off-road pick-up truck. The CR12 Trail Series all-wheel truck is small in size and packed full of features. This rig comes Ready-To-Run with Reedy Power electronics and meets S.O.R.R.C.A. class 1 and 2 rules right out of the box. Designed not only for scale looks with realistic wheels, tyres and a licensed Ford F-150 pick-up body, the CR12 is built for performance as well. The steel ladder frame chassis provides a sturdy backbone and the 4-link suspension, threaded shocks, and soft rubber tyres give the grip and performance needed to climb over the roughest terrain. Transferring power to the rocks is a compact 3-gear transmission, front steel CVA axles, and includes metal-shield ball bearings.

Raceform stadium truck tyre gluing jig conversion

Coming from Raceform and made for their Lazer 1/10th buggy tyre gluing jig is a race/stadium truck tyre conversion kit. The set allows to use the tool to conveniently glue the larger tyres of 1/10th stadium trucks and the existing jig is converted in only one minute. The set includes a machined adapter and a longer mounting screw and it is usable with all industry-standard 2.2” stadium truck tyres and wheels.

Danish 1/10th Off-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Danish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held in Kolding recently. The hosting club had an arrangement with a motorsports festival to build a temporary track on the site, ensuring massive impact to the thousands of spectators. It made for a special atmosphere, although in all honesty the electric-powered cars had a hard time competing with the attention the real cars drew and the noise and dust from the full-size vehicles was a bit distracting at times. The purpose-built track offered loads of grip, however it was also a bit bumpy so everyone was after the best in terms of setup and tyres.

PowerStar PM-3015W water-proof standard-size servo

Coming from PowerStar is their new PM-3015W IPX8 standard waterproof buggy and crawler servo. The standard-sized item is 7.4V and 8.4V high-voltage compatible and it pulls up to 30kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.10s. It features an all-aluminium case, an all-black receiver wire and comes including aluminium servo bushings and an aluminium clamping-style servo arm. The servo is usable for a range of applications including buggies, monster trucks, crawlers and even large scale models.

T4Works Tamiya DT & WR series alloy steering knuckles

T4Works from Japan have introduced their new range of aluminium steering knuckles for the DT and WR series of 2WD entry-level buggies and truck from Tamiya. The parts are machined from high-quality aluminium and come with a suitable – short or long – set of precision-machined steel front axles for improved durability. The short axle sets are usable on kits such as the DT-02, DT-02T, DT-02MS and DT-03 as well as the Dune Buggy 2011 and Holiday Buggy 2010. The long axle sets will fit the DT-03T and Blitzer series trucks as well as the WR-02 Wild Willy 2, and the WR-02VW Typ2 Willie but they are not compatible with the WR-02C and WR-02G. All sets are available in a range of colours including purple, gold, pink, bright blue, red and black from end of May.

JConcepts B6.1 carbon fibre shock towers

Coming from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s B6.1 series of buggies are three new carbon fibre shock towers. First up is a gullwing arm front shock stay of 4mm thickness that features the JConcepts milled sections which help maintain strength while minimising weight. The three standard B6.1 shock positions remain for quick and steady adjustments in the correct position for the gullwing front shock geometry. The tower is complete with countersunk holes on the top surface to accept the stock mounting hardware, however it is not usable with the AE plastic front tower guard.

Bennie Wilkerson wins ROAR Region 2 SCT titles

The final round of the ROAR Region 2 championship was held at Mushroom Bowl Hobbies and R/C Raceway in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania recently. Bennie Wilkerson laid down an excellent performance as he was able to take the TQ in 2WD Mod SCT and 2WD Stock SCT. On top of that he was able to double and win both A-mains and take the overall series championship titles in both classes.
