Marco Baruffolo wins at Trofeo Estate race

As the racing action finally starts to resume in some parts of Europe, it was the NitroBuggy track in Genzone, Italy that hosted the Trofeo Estate race with some of the country’s fastest off-road racers in attendance. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Xray’s Marco Baruffolo with the win from SWorkz driver, Leo Valence in 2nd while HB Racing driver, Gabriel Astorino came in 3rd overall.

Pelle Culmsee doubles at Danish 8th Off-road Nats Rd2

The Greve RC Center in Denmark held round 2 of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals this past weekend. The schedule for Saturday saw the running of the E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy classes and in E-Buggy it was Pelle Culmsee (SWorkz) with the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifying rounds. The triple A-mains again saw Pelle leading the way and with wins in all three legs he brought home the win from Mikkel Vesterled (JQRacing) in 2nd and Thomas Hansen (SWorkz) in 3rd. Over in the Nitro Truggy class it was Peter Harder with the TQ and win, leaving behind Steffen Culmsee in 2nd, a lap down as Nikolai Lamberts completed the top 3 podium result.

Jared Wiggins doubles at TRH Summer Series Rd1

Thunder Road Hobbies of Moline, Illinois held round 1 of their Summer Off-road Series this past weekend, attracting close to 50 entries. In the Nitro Buggy A-main it was Jared Wiggins with the overall TQ and also the win, some two laps in front of Julian Malevanets in 2nd. “KBone” would round out the top 3 another lap down. Over in E-Buggy it was again Jared Wiggins with the overall TQ and win, leaving behind Rob Morney in 2nd and Tony Burton in 3rd.

Riccardo Berton wins at Swiss Nitro Buggy opener

Round 1 of the Swiss Nitro Buggy Nationals was held at the ORCM Montagny track this past weekend. The event attracted drivers from Italy, France and of course Switzerland with Italy’s EFRA European Champion, Riccardo Berton (Infinity) leading the way both in the Expert class qualifying and the main final. Patrick Hofer (HB Racing) came in 2nd overall from HB Racing’s Jeremy Pittet in 3rd. Jerome Sartel and Joachim Kallen completed the top 5 result.

Hooks & Rose win at RC Pro Series North Rd2

Round 2 of the RC Pro Series North was held at Shaw’s RC Track in Ardmore, Oklahoma last weekend with 62 drivers and over 100 entries. Pro Nitro Buggy was TQ’ed by Agama driver, Brandon Rose, however it was Tyler Hooks (Tekno) with the overall from Brandon in 2nd and Micah Smith (Tekno) in 3rd. Dillon Caldwell (HB Racing) came in 4th overall while Aaron Royston (Tekno) completed the top 5 results.

Burak Kilic TQs & wins at Elektro Cup Nord season opener

The opening round of the German Elektro Cup Nord series was held at the Modellsport Münsterland track in Nörstel, North Rhine-Westfalia this past weekend. The Mugen duo of Burak and Berkan Kilic battled to out for the overall win with the better end for top qualifier Burak, who brought home the wins in A1 and A2 of the 1/8th E-Buggy class while Berkan cemented his runner-up spot with a win in A3. SWorkz’s Sophie Müller came in 3rd overall.

Harker wins StickIt1Racing Modified Off-road Series Rd3

Round 3 of the StickIt1Racing.com Modified Off-road Series was held at PDX Underground in Portland, Oregon. In the single 2WD Modified Buggy class it was Yokomo’s Travis Harker with the overall win from Team Associated driver, Ryan Reavis in 2nd. Cole Hegar came in 3rd overall.

Elias Johansson wins at Procircuit Challenge

The Swedish Botkyrka club hosted the Procircuit Challenge this past weekend. Serpent’s Pontus Larsson took the overall TQ in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class after winning three of the four qualifying rounds while HB Racing’s Elias Johansson, who won a single qualifying round, came in 2nd overall. The 45-minute A-main event then saw Elias taking the win with a 2-lap margin while top qualifier Pontus came in dead last following a DNF. Team Associated driver Nils Gustafsson came in 2nd overall, some 30 seconds in front of Felix Angseryd (Xray).
