Schumacher have introduced the new Penguin Dart body shell for the Cougar Laydown 2WD buggy. The new body is specifically designed for low profile LiPos, ideally 22.5mm and below, and thanks to the body’s low and sleek design it offers a lower centre of gravity and cool new looks. It includes overspray film, window masks and Penguin decals and it is available in a standard or lightweight variant.
Mugen have introduced their new muffler stopper for their MRX and MTX series of nitro on-road cars. The machined aluminium stopper will make for additional fixing of the exhaust pipe, ensuring the pipe will not come off during a run. The stopper is usable with most on-road exhaust pipes and it includes a grub screw.
Xray have introduced different aluminium C-hubs to fine-tune the setting of their recently announced ARS system for the T4 2020 kit. Machined from high-quality Swiss 7075-T6 aluminium and coming in 0 degree, 2 degree and 4 degree caster settings, the hubs help to adjust the overall wheel caster and thus available traction and side bite with the 0 degree parts being recommended for medium to high-bite tracks, the 2 degree hubs are best used on medium-low to medium-high conditions and the 4 degree hubs excel in ultra-low to medium traction conditions. The parts feature a black surface coating and the 2 degree and 4 degree hubs are available separately for the left or the right hand side of the car.
Coming from Lit R/C Products and made for the Team Associated RC8B3 series of vehicles is a set of Delrin hinge pin inserts that includes “in-between” 0.5 degree setting square pills. These insert are CNC machined out of durable white Delrin, and are designed to last much longer than the stock factory pill inserts. This set comes with the sought-after “Tweener” pills as well. The pack of 20 square pill inserts includes four center, four .5 out, four 1 out, four .5 corner, and four 1 corner inserts that are also available separately in 10-piece sets.

Coming from ProTek are their new aluminium turnbuckle wrenches. They feature perfectly sized tool heads, cut at a 45 degree angle to make it easier to get into hard to reach spots and make precise adjustments. The wrenches are available in a variety of sizes, including 4mm/5mm, 5.5mm/6.0mm, 3.0mm/3.2mm and 3.5mm/3.7mm, and they are precision machined from lightweight aluminium, with a black anodised finish and silver chamfered edges. The tools are available separately or as a complete set.
Last weekend was the final round of the 2019/20 EssexCarpetClash championship, and it came down to this meeting to finalise the top positions in both 2WD and 4WD. 4WD had already been won by Stephen Brown, who wasn’t present at this round allowing the others to fight it out for the podium positions. Qualifying was close between John Painter and birthday boy Luke Mills, being decided on count back time which Painter snatched with a far round 4 run. After 3 legs of finals, it was Mills that would triumph, winning all legs and giving him the overall win of the day. Painter managed to hold 2nd place, in front of a fast Lee Hedges who qualified in 3rd.
Round 5 of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held in Tinglev last weekend. While Kevin Nielsen walked away with the win in the Modified Touring class it was Casper Lund (Xray) who would bring home the win in Super Stock Touring Car from Xray teammate, Stefan Finnich in 2nd and Schumacher’s Phillip Pedersen in 3rd. Over in Stock Touring it was Villiam Bulow with the win from Lasse Stokholm in 2nd and Jens Otto Frederiksen in 3rd.

Associated Electrics have introduced the new Element RC Ocho wheel sets for the Enduro trail truck. The 1.9” wheels are available in silver or black colour and they feature a classic 8-hole look with a 3-piece design that utilises the industry favoured SLW-style hub. The sets include four wheels and mounting hardware.
