JConcepts’ popular Dirt Webs tread is now also available for 1/10th stadium trucks. The bar tyre is meant to produce a ton of forward bite while the Brian Kinwald designed tyres also give a balanced side bite even during heavy cornering. Made for industry-standard 2.2″ rims the tyres come including closed cell inserts and they are available in a range of compounds including blue, green, gold and red.

New from ProTek R/C comes the Blue Flame engine heater to effectively pre-heat the critical internal parts of a nitro engine. Pre-heating the engine head and the upper parts of the crankcase results in significantly reduced wear and unnecessary stress when compared to cold starting. The engine’s crankshaft, connecting rod, piston and sleeve all benefit and will last much longer when pre-heated regularly plus the engine’s “pinch” will be reduced which can be beneficial especially for new or rebuild engines. An access port atop the device allows to easily start the engine and monitor temperatures while in use. As a safety measure, a 10-minute timer shuts off the heater automatically. The heater comes pre-wired with a T-type connector and includes a crocodile clamp adapter wire.

Tamiya soon have a new sensored brushless motor available in the form of the TBLM 02S. Coming as faster 10.5T and slightly slower 15.5T variant, both offer sensored and sensorless operation and build-in bullet type connectors. The ProTek R/C Electronic Switch is of a completely sealed low-profile design so it can be mounted anywhere without fear of dirt and grime working its way in and causing a failure. Built-in voltage cutoff for LiPo receiver packs prevents the battery from becoming deep discharged while a LED on/off indicator gives feedback on the remaining battery capacity. Three mounting lashes allow for easy installation of the switch using the chassis’ personal transponder mount.

JConcepts introduce the popular Dirt Webs tyres in new 60mm 2.4″ specification. The tread was originally designed in 2012 by Brian Kinwald and Jason Ruona and it immediately showed exceptional results at races such as the Hot Rod Shootout. During the early stages of 2014, the team experimented with a larger 60mm 2.4″ bead mounting diameter at events such as the Cactus Classic and Surf City Classic. In the hands of Spencer Rivkin, the 60mm tyre and wheel combination displayed advantageous performance in high-grip conditions thanks to the taller bead combined with the included 60mm Dirt-Tech inserts. The tyre is available as 2WD front, 4WD front and general rear variant in blue, green, gold, silver, black and red compound.

RC Concept from France is a new company from Sebastien Chaffardon, best known as the mechanic of Yannick Aigoin, who with more than 30 years of racing experience will enter the market with a range of 1/8th off-road engines. Offering a long-stroke design the 3-port MC3 and 5-port MC5 engine are available with standard or ceramic rear bearings, all offer silicone-filled crankshafts and the ceramic engines also feature crankshaft balancing for even higher performance. The engines come with specially designed crankcases to prevent deformation caused by strong exhaust springs and the cooling heads sport a unique design with vertically places upper fins to improve the airflow and thus engine cooling especially in hot ambient temperatures.
