Kyosho have released their new Futaba-compatible receiver unit for the Mini-Z Evo car. The new replaceable receiver unit supports the 7XC and 7PX transmitters and allows to use the Mini-Z Evo cars with these popular transmitters, rather than just Kyosho and KO Propo radios.

Yokomo have introduced the SP-02D, a specialised servo for RWD drift cars. Designed especially for the use with gyroscope units and thoroughly tested by Yokomo’s team drivers, the servo does away with issues such as humming, shaking and general inaccurate performance, problems that are associated with different servo and gyro combinations and settings. The standard voltage low-profile servo pulls up to 12kg-cm of torque at speeds of down to 0.093s, it utilises a coreless motor, offers smooth steering characteristics ideal for RWD cars and it will hit stores by the end of March.

Coming for trucks such as the Traxxas Rustler 2WD or 4×4 are three new specialised 2.8” tyres from Pro-Line. Starting with the Trencher LP 2.8” all-terrain tyre, the tread is ideal when running in loose or hard-packed dirt, sand, snow, street or gravel conditions. The Trencher LP 2.8” is a direct replacement tyre and will fit on any 2.8” wheels including all of Pro-Line’s 2.8” wheel options. The Trencher tread was designed to have ultimate traction combined with long-lasting durability. Each tyre lug is shaped to dig into whatever surface modellers are running on and is ultra-thick so that it is extremely durable. Next up is the Sand Paw LP 2.8” tyre. There is nothing like the rush of ripping through the sand dunes or shredding the fresh powdery snow with a high-powered truck. Usual tyres will just slip around in the sand and snow, but the Sand Paw LP tyre will grip, rip and roost. The 2.8” tyre will fit most 2.8” wheels. Last but not least comes the Street Fighter LP 2.8” tyre that has the perfect balance of G force enhancement and style that will keep the truck turning heads. The Street Fighter LP 2.8” is a direct replacement tyre and will fit on any 2.8” wheels including all of Pro-Line’s 2.8” wheel options.
Pro-Line have introduced their new Super J and Octane drag racing body shells for converted Slash-type short course trucks. Starting with the Super J, PL’s first-ever body dedicated to the ever-growing SC drag racing class, the full-blown Pro-Mod body will transform the Traxxas Slash 2WD into a scale quartermile beast. This retro custom hot-rod style body features a ton of scale details to give any SC drag car a super unique, race-inspired look. The Super J is a convenient 1-piece body design with no assembly necessary. Pro-Line recommend using a 2.2” buggy wheel/tyre combo on the front combined with a 2.2”/3.0” SC wheel/tyre in the rear for the ultimate scale hot-rod stance. However, to create a more scale look, the body is designed with a narrower track width than a traditional SC body and will require some modifications to the 2WD Slash in order to fit correctly. HRC Distribution have introduced the HRC Racing 68110DMG digital standard size servo. Developed for 1/10th scale on-road and off-road classes, the servo features double ball bearings, sturdy metal gears and it comes with a heavy-duty 22AWG receiver wire. The servo’s waterproof case allows the use in unfriendly environments, making it ideal as a replacement for standard RTR kit servos.

Azarashi have introduced their new Type-MCR body shell for 210mm M-type on-road cars. Formerly made by North Craft, the limited edition body is the comical recreation of a 1990’s endurance GT race car and it first most 210mm wheelbase M-chassis cars such as the ones from Tamiya. The body comes including decals and wing mounting hardware.
Yokomo have introduced the latest incarnation of their popular YD-2 RWD drift chassis, the YD-2EXIIS standard black and limited red edition. Both kits include an impressive amount of the latest upgrade parts including the new curved slide rack steering system that provides a smooth, precise and consistent steering feeling through to the highest of steering angles. This has been made possible thanks to a no-bump-steer design that also allows to adjust the caster and KPI options without affecting steering angle over bumpy parts of the track. In addition to the standard black edition Yokomo will issue a 300-piece red anodised limited edition. Both kits will become availably by end of February.
HRC Distribution have introduced the new HRC Racing 3S 11.1V 1600mAh LiPo battery for 1/16 and 1/18 scale micro cars. Made of high capacity 50C cells the pack measures 140x35x20mm and it thus fits easily into the battery compartment of Traxxas 1/16 scale vehicles. The softcase battery comes pre-wired with an industry-standard balancer port and a T-type power plug.
