STRC HPI Blitz rear hub carriers

ST Racing Concepts release the CNC-machined 0.5 deg. toe-in rear hub carriers with oversized outer bearings for HPI Racing’s Blitz RTR and ESE kits. CNC Machined from high-quality aluminium, these rear hub carriers features set-screw over hinge-pin design, non-anodised bearing location to ensure the tightest tolerance and fit for the bearings, and an oversize 5x11mm outer bearings for more durability. The 0.5 deg. toe-in adds a bit more stability and rear traction to your Blitz. Available in anodised Gun Metal, Orange, Silver and limited edition web only Red.

Exotek Blitz carbon fibre battery strap

New from Exotek Racing for the Blitz (and E-Firestorm) is this carbon fibre battery strap with anodized locking clips for super secure, yet convenient battery installation. Turn the 2 alloy tabs to slip the strap off or turn turn them to lock it down. Lighter and of course stronger then the stock strap with that factory team look.

Exotek Blitz rear chassis brace

New from Exotek Racing are these heavy duty alloy rear chassis braces for the HPI Blitz. This brace strengthens the known weak point in the chassis and protects the rear of the chassis from cracking or snapping off. A special lightweight design allows for side to side flex for proper rear traction but eliminates front to back flex to strengthen the chassis and rear shock tower. Sold in a pair with fasteners.

The Dynamite Universal Short Course Body comes clear and uses heavy-duty polycarbonate materials for added strength. Designed to fit most popular short course vehicles, such as Traxxas Slash 2WD and 4WD, HPI Blitz and Team Associated SC10, this short course body also comes with pre-applied overspray protective film to eliminate any overspray from adhering to the outside of the body during the painting process.

HPI Blitz aluminium rear hub carrier set

New from HPI, this aluminium rear hub carrier set replaces the stock nylon rear hub carriers on HPI Blitz, Firestorm and E-Firestorm trucks. They are heavy-duty parts that provide the extra strength needed for high performance driving. 0.5 degrees of toe-in is machined into the hubs so you can tune your rear toe angle to 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 degrees to help dial in the suspension feel to track conditions. These rear hub carriers are machined from billet aluminium to exact HPI factory dimensions for a perfect fit, anodized and laser etched for easy identification. Each set includes left and right hubs, high efficiency ball bearings, bearing crush washers, pivot balls and washers for suspension geometry adjustment.

HPI Baja 5SC SS short course truck

The 1/5th scale Baja 5SC short course truck from HPI Racing have gotten the SS treatment. The Baja 5SC SS comes as an unassembled kit that you get to build from the ground up, but this is more than just a kit version, it’s packed with extra speed and a long list of option parts. The powerplant has been upgraded to the high performance Fuelie 26s engine, coupled to a high flow aluminium tuned pipe with steel tubular header. Combined with the 8,000 RPM clutch, the Baja 5SC SS has some serious grunt to help propel it to speeds in excess of 40MPH. Need to quiet things down a bit, then they’ve also included a stock can muffler just in case.

Toy Fair 2011 – Short Course round-up

Having covered the toy fair in depth for Red RC we decided to bring together all the short course related releases for an easy overview, beginning with Durango. On display at their German distributors stand, the Durango DESC410R was making its public debut. Having written in depth about the car here, its basically a longer and wider version of the successful DEX410, with the chassis is made from a sandwich of materials that creates a strong and very stiff backbone for the car, something that could not have been achieved with the aluminium side skirts used on the 1/10th buggy.
