The “The Cow Patty Classic Race” took place at the Nuggets Range Raceway in Arcadia. In the GT8 class Serpent’s Bart Collins took TQ and later went on to win the A-main with his Cobra GT. On the podium he was sidelined by Serpent team mates Harry Barzilay and Hector Montaner.

German RB distributors RMV Deutschland introduce the RB Concept engine bearing tool set. The Trofeo Automodelli was held at RcLandia, Scandino, the venue of the 2014 1/12th EFRA European Championships. Beside a touring car modified and 13.5T class also a 21.5T blinky F1 class on Ride R1 tyres was run. The category saw Fenix driver Matteo Berlincioni setting the pace and claiming the pole position with an impressive 36 laps in 10.10.323, but he was chased by his team mate Nico Catelani who was only 2 seconds behind. Coming in 3rd further 8 seconds down was Luca Torreggiani. After qualifying the A-final had a massive amount of national talents to offer in the form of Luca Torreggiani, Paolo Bottignol, Andrea Aquilino, Davide Carbone, Riccardo Monzani, Andrea Selva, Davide Campanini and Stefano Luppi. During practice and qualifying it became obvious that the long heats were extremely hard for the tyres making the right tyre treatment crucial for everyone with winning ambitions.

1/10 200mm World Champions KM Racing release the first information on their forthcoming 1/8th nitro on-road car called the “Killer Eight” or K8 in short. The chassis features a super low centre of gravity design with the top deck sitting only 25mm above the main chassis, having all components mounted as low as possible. The carbon fibre upper deck is a slotted design in the steering area for added front end flex while the receiver battery is not located underneath the fuel tank but on the left side for an improved left-to-right chassis balance. Other design cues include a special centre weight system for swift and easy weight distribution and all-up weight changes and the kit includes the option of running a standard blade or wire-type front anti-roll bar. No release date is mentioned yet but KM Racing mentions the kit is “coming soon”.

The 2013 Grand Prix de Pierrefeu had Agama’s Jerome Sartel taking the win from Guillaume Herbert (Agama) in a difficult final, darkness, dust and windy conditions made for hard times for the drivers and spectators. Jerome finished one lap ahead of Guillaume with the Mugen triple of Tom Robin, Tony Robin and Nicolas Vouilloz completing the top 6.

The 2013 C-Netic Challenge took place at the Wiyung International Buggy Track in Surabaya, Indonesia this past weekend. The track is probably one of the most brutal known to off-road racing with its banked and curved jump sections, lap times in the 50’s and the hard, abrasive surface that is reminiscent of the one drivers faced at the 2010 Buggy Worlds in Thailand. Beside the attendance of many Asian hot shots the “International R/C Buggy Championship” also had a good amount of foreign drivers to offer such as Kyle McBride who lead the Australian delegation, Jared Tebo from the U.S., Teemu Leino, Renaud Savoya, Joseph Quagraine and Robert Batlle who came over from Europe while Atsushi Hara and Yuichi Kanai flew over representing Japan with the latter three being current or past 1/8 Buggy World Champions underlining the international flair of the event.

Made from aircraft-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and coming stealth black anodised the parts are designed to replace the kit’s plastic servo mounts with more rigid and better looking parts. The brackets are of a universal fit most of today’s standard-size servos, they come as pair, are laser etched with RB6 logos and they fit the new Kyosho RT6 stadium truck as well.
