Xray XB808 progressive spring set

Xray have a new progressive spring set for the XB808 off-road buggy available. The ultimate-match front and rear springs sport progressive characteristics for a soft initial feel and increasing hardness while the spring compresses. This makes for a sensitive damper behaviour but enough stiffness to retain a precise overall feeling. The springs are recommended for medium-high traction tracks, are available as a pair, are measured, controlled, inspected and matched to provide identical damping characteristics. The front progressive C=0.7-0.8 mimics a hardness 0.7 spring at the beginning of the compression and a hardness 0.8 spring at the end. The rear progressive C=0.5-0.6 behaves like a hardness 0.5 to hardness 0.6 spring.

Jorn Neumann doubles @ ‘Off Road Wars’

Jörn Neumann sealed up a nearly perfect weekend of racing at Maritime Raceway’s second annual ‘Off Road Wars’ event. The event drew some of the very best drivers in the UK – and a few European drivers made the trip over including Team Durango’s rising star, Jörn Neumann. The track was constructed in the week prior, over the top of the usual carpet on-road track – with plenty of challenging jumps and sections for the drivers to negotiate. In 2WD, Jörn was running the standard DEX210 with the addition of the new geared differential – running 650cst shock oil on the high grip surface. Running in the middle of the top 10 in the first two rounds of qualifying was a slow start for the Team Durango driver but in round three he put in the fastest time of the day for the TQ and first on the grid. The finals got off to a bad start when Jörn made an unforced error in leg one – but came back to win the second and third legs for the victory.
