Duratrax 1/8 scale wheel nuts

Duratrax have introduced new 1/8 scale wheel nuts featuring knurling on the inside flange which helps hold the nut tight to the wheel. They are closed to keep out dust, dirt and mud, have a 12mm inside diameter, and come in anodized black or blue with 1.0 or 1.25mm pitch.

These stators are compatible with Novak’s Ballistic 540 motors, and are wound exclusively at the Novak factory in Irvine California by highly-trained motor technicians. Available in 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T, each hand-wound stator goes through several quality control checks, as well as testing steps to ensure it will provide the level of performance the serious racer is looking for.

With some hype building around the new X release from Traxxas, the Dallas based company have introduced the 1/7th scale XO-1, a car they claim is the fastest RTR available. At speeds of 0-60mph in 2.3 seconds and 0-100mph in 4.92 seconds they might be right. Traxxas partnered with Castle Creations to develop the Mamba Monster Extreme power system specifically for the unique power requirements of the XO-1. The proven Mamba Monster Extreme System has been enhanced for higher output when used with 6S LiPo power. From its integrated capacitor bank to the proprietary software created just for XO-1, the Mamba Monster Extreme speed control represents the state-of-the-art in big-volt power delivery. JConcepts Super Cup Rd4 report

The 4th round of the JConcepts Super Cup 2011 season was host at Daytona, FL during the Thanksgiving weekend. In 2wd Stock buggy, the young Daimon Borkowicz did an amazing 15 laps run in qualifying, one of only 4 people to do a 15 lap run during the entire event, to TQ the stock buggy class. In the main, without any real competition, Daimon was able to pull away & lap the field with Ruffy Rios finishing 2nd & Kory Ferguson finish 3rd.

Kawashima wins Tresrey 2wd Challenge Rd7

Round 7 of the Tresrey Off-Road Race 2WD Challenge was held last Sunday at the TRS circuit in Matsusaka-city, Japan and it attracted 57 racers. In the first qualifying round, it was TRF driver Satoshi Maezumi who managed to take top time for this round. In round 2 and 3, it was Tresrey factory driver Kenji Tsuruta who managed to take the top time for both rounds and took the overall TQ with his DEX210. Maezumi (TRF201) took 2nd with Noriyuki Kawashima (B4) taking 3rd. There were 18 Durango DEX210s in the race and 4 of them made the A final. In the final Kawashima got the best start and passed the two cars ahead and won the race, with Hideki Nakajima (B4) 2nd and Maezumi (TRF201) 3rd. After the award ceremony, Tresrey held a big lucky draw prize which included a DEX210 kit, Speed Passion ESCs and motors.
