French company Hobbytech have introduced their latest version of their STR8 buggy, the X2 EP. As the name suggests, this electric brushless powered 1/8th scale buggy features correctly balanced and optimized weight distribution and comes pre assembled as a race roller. Some of the features include CNC machined hard coated Spiral cut gears, 16mm big bore oil-filled aluminium threaded shocks, two piece motor mount for fast motor maintenance and new innovative battery tray design 3S or 4S or 6S LiPo capability.

Capricorn sign Flavio Elias to their Factory team

Capricorn has announced that they have signed Favio Elias to their factory team for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Flavio Elias is eight times Brazilian 1/8 Champion and will now as a official Capricorn pilot represent Brazil in international competitions such as the next worlds in Japan. Flavinho, who already was one of the stand out drivers at the last Worlds in Miami, was Brazilian champion in 2010 and 2011 already running the Capricorn chassis.

S-Workz S350 BK1 2012 version

S-Workz have announced that their S350 BK1 2012 version is now available. Based on the original car, the new kit now comes with the 4mm longer chassis and also 3mm longer chassis brace. This will give the new BK1 more steering and make it more stable. The 2012 kits will also include a new fuel tank cap system which features a double o-ring for more pressure for your engine system. The new chassis plate and brace can also be bought as a set to upgrade your current buggy.

KO Propo BSx Standard servo

KO Propo have introduced their new BSx Standard servo at the recent Tokyo Hobby show. Expected to be released in February it features a brushless motor, full aluminium machined gears which are matched for smooth movement, dual ball bearing on the output gear, hard gear shafts and a machine cut aluminium middle case. Ideal for steering servo in all cars up to 1/8th buggy, it outputs 20Kg/cm of torque at 7.4V and 15Kg/cm at 6.0V. The Speed is 0.06 sec/60° at 7.4V and 0.07 sec/60° at 6.0V.

Reedy have introduced two new receiver battery packs for use in nitro-powered cars, buggies and trucks that require a stick configuration. A choice of LiFe or LiPo chemistry is available in capacities that provide plenty of duration for long main events. The standard power plug fits directly into your receiver or switch harness, while a JST-XH balance connector allows for simple balance charging.

Capricorn have released this new rear upper arm linkage for the Lab CO1 and C02. The same configuration as the version on the 1/8th scale Lab C801 these two piece arms feature an integrated set screw making for a very easy to adjust camber linkage.

Mugen Seiki MBX6R buggy

Mugen Seiki have announced the MBX6R based off the ultra successful MBX6 buggy. The 6R contains many high performance parts that the Mugen Seiki design team have created. The buggy comes equipped with a new 5mm longer had anodized chassis and a forward mounted receiver & battery tray, something which we have seen previously. The combination of both new items will improve handling in all bumps and jumps and the increase in stability means you can drive the MBX6R harder and faster. To further improve the handling a new set of front and rear damper springs and chassis braces are included. An aluminium rear toe in block with various toe in and anti squat adjustments and an aluminium front upper suspension arm holder with adjustable roll centre positions will keep the car dialed into all race conditions. The give the new buggy the finishing touch it comes supplied with the newly designed Force cab forward body from Bitty Design in Italy.
