Noriyuki Kawashima wins Tresrey Off-Road Race Rd5

Round 5 of the Tresrey Off-Road Race 4WD Challenge with ‘Charity Auction for Sendai earthquake’ was held last Sunday at the TRS circuit in Matsusaka-city, Japan. 73 racers joined the event, making it the best attended race that the TRS circuit ever had again for an off-road event. In the first qualifying round, it was TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory) driver Satoshi Maezumi who managed to take top time for this round. In round 2, Maezumi broke his car in the warm up run which gave him a DNS while Noriyuki Kawashima (ZX5) managed 12 laps with 5:04.5 in this round who managed to take overall TQ. Hideki Nakajima (B44) took 2nd with a 5:05.2, with Maezumi (TRF502X) taking 3rd with 5:05.3. Unfortunately the finals were cancelled because of heavy rain and so the final result was decided based on everyone’s qualifying result. After the award ceremony, Tresrey held a big lucky draw prize which included a DEX410 2010 spec kit, Speed Passion RS2 kits, ESCs and motors. The Charity Auction for Sendai earthquake was also held with a total of 29 items on offer which included all the famous driver’s body shell from Europe and US (like David Spashett, Dustin Evans, Hupo Hönigl and more) and Ryan Cavalieri’s pit stand. Tresrey are sending the total amount of this charity auction (JPY87,900) with all the entry fee of the race and some other donations to the Japan Red Cross. Special thanks to the drivers and people who gave their items for this charity auction.
