Steve Bortolotti wins RC Pro Canada Rd1

Steve Bortolotti wins RC Pro Canada Rd1

With an impressive follow-up to it’s launch in Tillsonburg, Steve Bortolotti took the Tamiya 801X-e prototype to a TQ and victory in round 1 of the RC Pro Canada series in Ontario on an ever changing track. With a line-up of Canadian and US drivers representing the major manufactures in attendance, this was a good outing to see how the car handled the “outdoor” changing environment and out of the gate it locked-up TQ after four rounds of qualifying. In the main, the battle for 1st place was fierce and with a dry, blown-out racing surface, with Steve Bortolotti locking up the win for Tamiya, ahead of John Summach with a Kyosho in 2nd and Hobao racer Rob Say in 3rd.

Easy win for Michael Salven in Western Germany

Michael Salven took an easy win at round two of the Western German Championship 1/8 held at Dueren close to the Belgian and Dutch border. Following an incident of Serpent fellow Tobias Hepp in the first lap which caused a short pit stop and a 44 seconds lap time, Salven was never under pressure during the 40 minutes final. Even the handsome crowd saw excellent racing with very fast laps by Salven and Hepp, the 16 years old local hero couldn’t close the gap and came in second three laps down. Third place on the podium went to Mugen/Sirio racer Christian Wurst who lost four laps on Hepp but had an advantage of two laps over Frank Schewiola (Serpent/Novarossi). Xceed NT1 & 733 composite gear diff gear sets

Xceed have composite gear differential gear sets for Xray NT1 and Serpent 733 1/10th scale gas cars. The precision molded composite gears, combined with light alu shafts, create a lighter and super smooth working gear-differential. The NT1 set needs just the gears and shafts, while the 733 also needs the light steel adapters and small bronze bushings to complete it. For both cars the alu shafts are a direct replacement for the original ones.
