JC Racing Products YZ10 6 spoke wheel set

Made for vintage Yokomo YZ10 buggies is JC Racing Products’ 6 spoke 2.2” wheel set. Containing two front and two rear rims, the set suits original Yokomo YZ10 vehicles made in the early 1990’s, they allow the use of modern day 2.2” carpet or dirt off-road tyres and they are available in black or white colour.

Mugen MBX8 series suspension refresh kit

Mugen have introduced their new suspension refresh kit for the MBX8 series of nitro and electric buggies. The kit allows racers to refresh the high stress suspension components and upgrade to the optional carbon fibre arm stiffeners that come in handy when racing on high-bite surfaces or in high ambient temperatures. The MBX8/8E buggy refresh kit includes E2132 front upper suspension arms, E2144 front lower suspension arm, E2145 rear suspension arms, E2146 inline front uprights, E2154 carbon fibre front arm stiffeners and E2156 carbon fibre rear arm stiffeners.

Serpent X20FF FWD touring car – Coming soon

Serpent have announced the soon release of their all-new X20FF front-wheel drive touring car. The kit will be based off of the X20 4WD car, sharing many of its design features. Full details of the car, that utilises the now-popular front-mid motor layout for an overall lower centre of gravity, will become available in time of the release.

ARC R12 mid-motor touring car – Coming soon

ARC have released a first drivetrain teaser image of their forthcoming new R12 mid-motor 1/10th scale 4WD touring car. The R12 will feature a completely new design of the belt pulleys, differential and bulkheads, with the motor mount being an all-new single-piece construction to reinforce the centre part of the chassis and help reduce belt skipping. The redesigned bulkheads will relocate the anti-roll bar to a lower position with all of these features helping to lower the overall centre of gravity of the car. Full details will become available in time of the release.

2019/20 BRCA LMP12 Nationals Rd5 – Report

Round five of the 2019/20 BRCA LMP12 nationals was hosted by Barley Mow club in Birtley in the North of England last weekend. A reduced entry compared to the last round didn’t detract from the excellent racing this championship has become known for. The event took place in a large hall with the club laying a flowing layout with a variety of corners requiring careful car setup and consistent driving to get the best time from the circuit. Saturday would see drivers competing in 13.5 and 17.5 stock classes. In the 13.5 class there was a three way battle between David Spashett, current stock World Champion Andy Murray and Louis Parker for pole position. In round three Andy and Louis posted identical times after swapping first and second by a tenth or two throughout the eight minute run. At the end of qualifying it would be Andy who would claim the front spot from David Spashett and Louis Parker with Mark Stiles very close behind in fourth.
