Novak 4PHD 4-pole short course brushless motor

Novak 4PHD 4-pole short course brushless motor

Coming this July is Novak’s new 4PHD 4-pole electric brushless motor for 4WD short course trucks. The motor is developed specifically for the high power demands and extreme running conditions seen by today’s popular 4WD short course racing and extreme bashing. Measuring 35.9×66.5mm, the sensored motor packs the punch of larger 550-size, 2-pole motors, and offers drivers the instantaneous throttle response achieved by 4-pole motors. The 4PHD is available in a 4600 kV rating, has an ultra-duty Neodymium rotor that is Kevlar-wrapped and rides on high-RPM ABEC 5 ball bearings. The 4PHD will become available separately or as combo including Novak’s recently updated Crusher speed controller.

RDRP RB6 aluminium front suspension block

RDRP RB6 aluminium front suspension block

Revolution Design Racing Products introduce the aluminium front suspension block for all Kyosho RB6 based vehicles. Design to replace the kit’s plastic bulkhead with a more durable and more precise part, the block is machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and it comes black anodised for a stealthy look. Just like the original plastic part, the alloy block allows to adjust the front wishbone kick-up to 25 degree or 30 degree in order to alter the car’s front end grip. On top of that the alloy material greatly improve the robustness of the front end while the precise manufacturing adds to the overall appearance. The part fits all RB6 buggies as well as the RT6 stadium truck and SC6 short course kit.

Speed Passion Competition V4.0 brushless motor

Speed Passion Competition V4.0 brushless motor

Speed Passion introduce their latest competition electric brushless motor called the V4.0. Based on the experience gained with the V1.0 to V3.0 series, that won multiple titles including World and European Championships, the 4.0 features a completely new design with an updated can, newly designed front and rear endbells as well as severely other refinements. Different from its predecessors the new motor makes use of bullet-type connectors for the speedo wires whereas the previous versions had the bullet-type connectors mounted into the endbell. The design allows for the use of connectors or direct soldering of the wires for even more efficiency. The motor also offers a new endbell timing system and we understand that it will come in “modified” winding options first.

HPI D-Box 2 stability control system

HPI D-Box 2 stability control system

HPI introduce the D-Box 2 adjustable stability system for virtually every radio controlled car. Although aimed for the use in drift cars, the gyro can also be used in nitro and electric on-road and off-road vehicles as it improves vehicle control on slippery surfaces. Based on the experience gained with the original D-Box, the follow-up device offers four different settings to adjust the gyro sensitivity for perfect vehicle control without loosing steering response or gyro support. The device is simply connected between the steering servo and receiver, measures around 26.5x27x10mm and weights in at 9.5g. Before using the D-Box at a race meeting please check with the rules as tracks do not allow the use of gyros for fairness reasons.

Team C TM4 centre gear differential set

Team C TM4 centre gear differential set

Team C now have a centre gear differential set for the TM4 1/10th 4WD buggy available. Included are the centre diff housing, a 75T and 80T composite main gear, outdrives, new centre driveshafts, a shorter carbon front upper deck and a new aluminium gear box cover. By eliminating the original slipper clutch and replacing it with a centre differential a somewhat 1/8 scale-ish drivetrain is created that can help with traction and drivability both on high and low traction surfaces.

Schumacher Cat K1 & Cougar KF transmission housing

Schumacher introduce a new alloy upper transmission housing for the Cat K1, K1 Aero and the Cougar KF. Designed to replace the previous version the new parts allows to mount the shocks simply and quickly in front of the axle or behind with the removal of two screws. Changing the shock location is an important tuning option as the front position provides the best solution for high grip with good steering and responsiveness while rear mounted shocks give good stability on bumpy or slippery tracks.
