More SWorkz S350 Evo details

Some days ago we brought you a first teaser image of SWorkz’ upcoming S350 Evo buggy and now more detailed information are available. The upgraded Evo will include a wide range of already available option parts including the flat-type chassis, Black Series shock towers, the PSP radio tray and Ackermann assembly along an assortment of new parts such as a rear hinge pin brace with replaceable inserts, new shock bladders and caps, Pro 2.0 shocks with 4mm shafts, new 1.3mm 5-hole tapered pistons and a new style fuel tank. The package is rounded out by a cab forward Falcon body. The kit is meant to hit the stores beginning of 2014.

Picco have announced their Boost 5TR Team Spec .21 offroad engine. This new version of the already proven Picco Boost 5TR has the same incredible reliability, fuel mileage and ease of tuning but now offers even more performance and features at an incredible value. The 5TR Team Spec has a new 14mm balanced and silicone filled crankshaft to improve overall performance, a larger more efficient cooling head, a new crankcase design allows more clearance for different flywheels, a super strong “knife edged” aerodynamic connecting rod, lightened CNC machined piston from high percentage silicone alloy billet and a ceramic “Swiss” made rear bearing tops off the list of all the high end features. The Boost 5TR Team Spec .21 engine is a top of the line racing engine with strong, linear bottom end and incredible top end performance. This balance of power and drivability give you what’s needed for fast and consistent lap times. Combine all this with it’s super stable tuning, excellent fuel mileage and Picco’s legendary quality this makes it the total package in a Pro level buggy or truggy engine.

Xray XB4 2.0mm anti-roll bar wire

Xray have a new addition to their existing range of optional anti-roll bars for the XB4 range of buggies available. Latest in the line is a super-thick 2.0mm wire for the front and the rear of the buggy that comes in handy on very high-bite tracks such as carpet and astro turf. The sway bar is cut from heat-treated spring steel and the thickest yet.

LRP 30C 3400mAh hardcase LiPo battery

LRP introduce the new Power Pack 3400 hardcase LiPo battery. Build from 30C cells the battery mimics the dimensions of a NiMH racing pack making it ideal not only for a wide range of RTR vehicles but also nitro starter boxes and many other applications that need “racing pack”-style batteries. The pack comes in a protective hardcase and is pre-wired with a Tamiya-type connector and an EHR balancer port.

Xray XB4 6 degree composite C-hubs

Xray introduce these 6° C-hubs for the XB4 buggy. They allow for quick roll centre adjustment using different thickness shims under the camber link ball stud and are made from a tough moulded composite. A large opening for the CVD assembly prevents any clearance issues even at large steering angles and allows for easy maintenance. The C-hubs are marked for identification, they fit all XB4 kits and become available separately as left and right variant.

STRC SCX10 & Wraith aluminium option parts

ST Racing Concepts have new aluminium option parts for Axial’s SCX10 and Wraith off-road vehicles available. First up are front and rear shock towers for the SCX10, made from CNC-machined aluminium and coming in black, gun metal, green or silver colour. They carry the stock shock mounting geometry and locations and are made to provide a more sturdy base for the shocks. The towers come as pairs and are available for the front and rear of the chassis.

FX Engines exhausts & glow plugs

FX Engines introduce two new exhaust pipes as well as a range of turbo glow plugs. Starting with the pipes, available soon are the high RPM EFRA 2100 and high torque EFRA 2108 pipe, both come with a hard-chrome plating for a long life and laser-etched homologation numbers for easy identification. The multi-camber pipes come without manifold but FX Engines will also offer suitable short, medium and long variants soon. Made not only for the FX engine range but all other turbo engines are the new X3 to X8 turbo-style glow plugs. The come in several heat grades for low (X3) up to high temperatures (X8).

Reedy pro silicone wire & low-profile connectors

Team Associated introduce the new Reedy pro silicone wire and low-profile bullet-type connectors. Starting with the wire, it was developed to be lightweight and highly flexible while offering efficient current flow at the same time. The thin silicone insulation is yet sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of racing and the wire is available as 1 meter long 12AWG/4mm, 14AWG/3mm and 16AWG/2.7mm variant in any colour you want – as long as it is black. Also new are 14mm long low-profile bullet-type connectors. Coming in a standard 4mm and also new-type 5mm variant the flat top plugs are pre-shaped for easy soldering. They are silver-plated for a low resistance connection and the will become available as pair or 10-piece pack. Last but not least in the line of new electric accessories is a set of coloured shrink tube for motors and speed controllers. The kit contains three pieces each of black, red, blue, orange, and yellow shrink tubing.
